Hello

I'm in need of help cause I am totally confused. We are in the stage of the visa where we are completing the DS-260. Am I suppose to have my medical done by now or will they let me know. I have my land case number already.

I'm just getting a bit impatient at the moment cause the contact from the office to us is very minimal all most non existing, we've basically had to chase nearly every stage.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Fiona :-)

According to your timeline, your petition has not been approved. That has to happen first. Also your consulate is listed as Armenia. Are you sure it isn't London?

My consulate is London, my wife is the petitioner who is in the US just now. We have done the AOS part all paid for and accepted but have heard nothing in our next steps. Just wandering what I do. Cause I'm pretty lost.

Go to the CEAC case tracker https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

Put in your case number including the letters LND

What does it say?

And here's how to put London in your timeline so it is correct.

Go to your timeline. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=189390

Click edit/add to timeline.

Scroll down about a dozen boxes until you see "US Embassy"

Pick London in the "L" section not "U" for UK.

If you don't scroll down, Armenia is the bottom of the list that opens so you got that by not scrolling maybe

It says that it's at NVC but has been saying that for about 5-6 weeks now does it take quite a bit to get to the UK.

It sounds like you are not getting a K3 visa like your profile says. Those don't really happen much anymore and it would be highly unusual. A K3 case would not have stayed at NVC this long. It would have passed through in a few days and London would have sent the beneficiary a letter. If you have submitted things to NVC according to their instructions, your visa is IR1/CR1. There is a separate forum for that with very helpful people.

So assuming you are CR1 visa then most of your processing happens at NVC. When you have done everything they need, they will eventually assign you an interview date in London. Then, and only then, should you call Knightsbridge Clinic and make an appointment. You don't want it so early it would expire while you are still finishing at NVC.

If your visa is by chance K3, then you still don't make a medical appointment until London notifies you they have your case.

Got it?

CR1 visa: NVC processing including documents mailed there >Case complete at NVC > NVC gives interview date > NVC sends file to London > you make medical appointment and attend before the interview.

K3 visa: CEAC status will say "in transit", then "ready" > London will send you a letter of instruction on how the apply for a visa, documents needed, and to go have a medical > Call for medical appointment> attend medical> London will assign your interview date.

So try to figure out what visa. The procedures are VERY different.

~~Moved to IR1/CR1 progress reports from K3 process and procedures~~

You are on the CR1 route, not K3. K3 doesn't do anything at the NVC besides get a case number.

Please spend some time going over this. You WILL have to chase the NVC to get everything done if you want it done sooner vs later.

Right now the NVC wants you to send in the AOS and IV packages at the same time after both fees are paid vs after each fee is paid.
