Hi Piaoliang2008, did you hear anything from USEM already? My fiancee is on the same boat and been waiting a month since the inteview and still shows in Admin Processing (they received the NBI with AKA 2 weeks ago). Thanks in advance.

Hi... I am already here in the US.

After two weeks of waiting for the nbi letter to the embassy, i called the embassy and was told to jst wait for instruction as they already received such letter from nbi. I was not sent to nbi for another interview but it still took me almost a month delay... Status was from ready(2wks) to ap (3 days) issued(jst couple of hrs)....

If you are now using your married name, an AKA would be your maiden name. Read the instructions letter from the embassy. http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

I'm still using my maiden name so on AKA will be blank only? But my husband surname is in there and married status

No where is your married name recorded? You have never used your married name on anything? Do you think the embassy will not want an AKA for your married name?

Seriously how much effort is it to write your married name in the AKA space?

I never used my married name yet even on my visa application, so even I'm still using my maiden name I still have to put on AKA with my married name using my husband surname?

Yes. Better play it safe. Get a new NBI using your married name or put your married name as AKA.

If you're diligent enough to search here on VJ, you'll find someone got a 221g for NBI with AKA even if she never used her husband's surname on her visa application and civil documents.
