November 2nd they will know if the virus has been contained.

They moved to family to another place, It a ghetto apartment complex they are living in full of poor immigrants and illegal aliens. They had 4 Dallas police providing 24 hour watch to make sure the family didn't leave the apartment. Couple of kids went to school the first couple of days they were supposed to be self quarantined.

Spent like 65K to send hazmat crew to rip out carpet, throw away beds, etc.

Heard the Ebola guy condition had gotten worse. I hope justice is done dies and no one gets infected....

What a bunch of paranoid cr@p!

Here are the "unconfirmed" cases - the scary stuff, I suppose:

  • FL - Hospital officials say the patient is feeling better and has been moved out of isolation.
  • MD - Maryland hospital says patient has malaria, not Ebola
  • VA - UPDATE: 2 Virginia patients tested for Ebola, tests likely negative
  • MA - Massachusetts physician Dr. Rick Sacra, who had been successfully treated for Ebola, has been admitted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester Saturday night for signs of pneumonia, according to multiple reports.

Frankfurt: Ebola patient arrives in Germany from Sierra Leone. This is an infected doctor from Uganda who was purposely transported to Germany for treatment. If this makes the list, where is the French nurse that was previously transported to and successfully treated in Hamburg?

This is why you leave it to professionals. Bloggers such as the one that put up this paranoid "tracker" simply lack the expertise to inform the public effectively. They're generally speaking just full of themselves and their irrational fear. And they like to spread that fear. Of course, that's just up your alley, son, ain't it?

Liberals LOVE government. The bigger the better. When they see government officials speaking out whether from the White House, FDA, IRS, CDC, EPA, USPS, (endless), they get all gooey, and trusting. They mistakenly believe that Americas best and brightest must be in charge otherwise they wouldn't have been appointed to the job. To the contrary, the business community and private sector is much more representative of reality. This is the place where people can actually lose their jobs, or be seriously reprimanded.

The CDC was caught flat-footed on Ebola. Totally unprepared, and now they clamor to find one voice. But yet, the message from them is hiding the truth from the American people because they fear panic. The American people don't like people in charge who carefully filter messages to the public. They want the straight truth without political posturing. This is why the Ebola issue is out of control. It's amateur hour in Washington, and a major embarrassment on the global stage.

For CDC team in Dallas, the search is on for those who had contact with Ebola patient

By Amy Ellis Nutt October 4 at 12:39 PM

For the doctors, nurses and epidemiologists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who landed in Dallas this week, it all boiled down to this: Who had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person in this country to be diagnosed with the deadly Ebola infection, and who might have had contact with him? In other words, it was all about information.

First up was interviewing Duncan, known in CDC investigative parlance as the “index subject.” Then the 10-member team led by infectious disease expert David Kuhar began where most information-gatherers begin — by making a list. Actually, by making two lists. One included the names of the people with whom Duncan might have had contact in his two visits to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. The other list — well, it included everyone else.

They divided themselves into two teams. Those creating the hospital list took up residence in a human resources office on the eighth floor of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. Pediatrician and epidemic intelligence officer Matt Karwowski was assigned to the community list. He and his team holed up in a first-floor conference room in the Fogelson Forum, next to the main medical building.

Three CDC investigators and one county epidemiologist would visit each home on the two lists and interview every person in every household who might have come in contact with Duncan.

The visits began early Wednesday afternoon, according to Karwowski, who was reluctant to say exactly how many homes he visited the first day. He did say, however, that the handful of homes included multiple residents.

The American people are largely ignorant on Ebola. That's quite visible here on this board as well with all this ignorant nonsense and paranoia that manifests itself in many of the posts around this topic. But there are also polls that bear out this very ignorance. What we need is not more panic and paranoia. What we need is objective information. And the paranoid, scared right wing blogs deliver none of the latter but all of the former. You eat that right wing nuttery up like a 12 year old little boy - which is not at all surprising. But all you do outside of the right wing nut bubble is expose yourself for a sorry fool that falls head over heels for the nonsense that these idiotic blogs spread.

Boston, MA Although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports no known cases of Ebola transmission in the United States, a Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH)/SSRS poll released today (August 21, 2014) shows that four in ten (39%) adults in the U.S. are concerned that there will be a large outbreak in the U.S., and a quarter (26%) are concerned that they or someone in their immediate family may get sick with Ebola over the next year.

...

The HSPH/SSRS poll found people with less education are more likely to be concerned about an outbreak in the U.S. (less than high school 50% vs. some college 36% vs. college grad or more 24%). People with less education are also more concerned they or their family will get sick with Ebola (less than high school 37% vs. some college 22% vs. college grad or more 14%). Perhaps related, those with less education are also less likely to be following the news about the Ebola outbreak in West Africa closely (total 63%; less than high school 57% and some college 62% vs. college grad or more 73%).

Two-thirds of people (68%) surveyed believe Ebola spreads “easily” (“very easily” or “somewhat easily”) from those who are sick with it. This perception may contrast with CDC, World Health Organization (WHO), and other health experts who note that Ebola is not an airborne illness, and is transmitted through direct contact with infected bodily fluids, infected objects, or infected animals. Learn more about how Ebola is transmitted.

A third of those polled (33%) believe there is “an effective medicine to treat people who have gotten sick with Ebola.” According to the CDC and WHO, there is no proven anti-viral medicine, however, treating symptoms such as maintaining fluids, oxygen levels, and blood pressure can increase the odds of survival. To date, the media reports two people infected with Ebola overseas have been treated in the U.S.

“Many people are concerned about a large scale outbreak of Ebola occurring in the U.S.,” said Gillian SteelFisher, deputy director of the Harvard Opinion Research Program and research scientist in the HSPH Department of Health Policy and Management. “As they report on events related to Ebola, the media and public health officials need to better inform Americans of Ebola and how it is spread.”

The American people are largely ignorant on Ebola.

This one sentence from you tells the complete story of liberal ideology. In just a few days, you and your cohorts consider yourselves experts on this topic and posture yourselves with politics rather than the common sense rights of ALL Americans to feel safe and secure in their homes and lives. In fact, you're not an expert. You're just a guy with nothing better to do than attack those who do not agree with you.

The CDC, the White House, and every element under the control of this administration is amateur hour. Like every day since 0bama took office there is more division in the US than ever before in history. He's leading his people over a cliff. You go ahead and follow him.

No, that one sentence tell the facts which I have detailed in the same post in which I wrote that sentence. Of course, you must ignore the facts since they are not in tune with your fear and paranoia.

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."
