We just looked up tickets the other day, and BA was the cheapest nonstop economy class! I agree though, they are often showing as more expensive than United or American...in my experience anyway. M.

Yeah, I sometimes find that BA are more expensive, but they're one of the few non-stop flights from Detroit to London that we could take. I just booked a flight back for myself, my wife and my daughter to see my family in March(it'll our first trip back to the UK since last July), before I knew about the strike. Luckily this won't affect us. :)

Cheapest ticket I found when I went to see my London boy was on Delta. It was so ghetto. :(

But really I just need a place to sit while I ride across the ocean. As long as it stays warm and pressurized, I'll be more or less satisfied.

Man, I took Singapore Air from San Francisco to Korea, THAT was luxurious. There was a Nintendo in every seat!!

A ride to the US?

Yes. :)

On that, you take a chance--you may get a cancellation without notice.

I have never had a positive experience with any US-based airline off of North American shores (one neutral, three somewhat negative, one flight-through-hell).

And that even includes US-based airline's craft used in codeshare!

I've never had cancellation problems or anything (except United gave me some hell in San Fran once, but that was a domestic flight), but some trans-Atlantic carriers have definitely been more COMFORTABLE than others. The worst ever I think was KLM from Detroit to Amsterdam, where the inflight movie was a Dutch dubbed Whoopie Goldberg thing. Shudder. Delta was pretty uncomfortable and I was sitting next to an obnoxious drunk guy, but I did get to England on time.

QUOTE(BradLuvsMaria @ Jan 24 2007, 08:51 PM) *

News to me!!!! I bought my tickets for Maria through Expedia.com and the itinerary was as follows:

All flights for Tuesday JAN 30th , 2007

Ekaterinburg= British Airlines to London 1st class

London to Chicago=British Airlines 1st Class

Chicago to Minneapolis= United Airlines= 1st class

I hate to break some bad news to you but British Airways do not fly from Ekaterinburg to London the flight is operated by B Med and their fleet comprises of Airbus aircraft that are not configured with a first class cabin and it gets worse BA do not code share with UA they are in different alliances - I would seriously write a letter of complaint to Expedia for selling you tickets that do not exist letting them know you have an army of congressmen backing you up good.gif

What the hell

Who invited the retard patrol?

You have not read the thread or where the poster stated I was lying about my own purchase of air tickets from Ekaterinburg Russia to Minneapolis for my Fiance. Ignorance comes from not knowing, which would make you worse than a retard. You are incapable of learning. I guess that makes you a posted retard.
