Thank you guys! Did you guys get notifications or a status update on the website once it reached NVC and then the consulate? Or do I have to call in like a week to find out? And do they call to schedule the interview or do we do that once we find out it's there? We have to get the packet online because it takes forever in the mail.. That's all I know! :)

Today I have been so sad all day. It is really hard to have your life in pause because of some paperwork. I am so frustrated and really miss my fiance. I don't like to tell my family how frustrating this process has been because they really think I am exaggerating. But how can u be away from someone you love for so long. I want to travel to see my fiance in June and by the looks of slowness in TSC idk if that would be possible. My family is ready for dress shopping but as stress weight is taking its toll and no sign of a noa 2 dress shopping is far from my mind. Pleaseeeee TCS speeeeeeddddd uppppppp. :'( :'(

I feel for all of you frustrated by this long process and exhausting wait for someone at the TSC to work on our case. It is extremely frustrating that California filers are cleared within weeks and their fiancees arrives in just a few months. It is even worse to learn that new filers have been transfered while those that have been waiting months continue to languish. I am now over close to 200 days since NOA1 with no end in sight. That said, I have been actively writing to public officials. I have now been contacted over the phone and in writing by my congressman and one ofmy senators concerning my case and they have filed inquiries on my case. Not sure how accurate or succesful help from my elected officials but its my attempt to take action. Both elected officials have at least been quick to respond and seem to be interested in doing some case work on behalf of a constituent. My expectatons is that TSC will pick up my file in order to appease pressure from a congressman or senator. I think living in Miami, politicians cater to issues with INS.

Hi! I saw your post this morning and wanted to get back to you :) I'm in Miami too.

I've had good luck with Nelson's office. They always follow up, my case rep isn't exactly nice but I did speak with her. Forget Rubio, they will initially respond but never ever follow up. Can I ask who you reached out to?

Hey Kristin

I first contacted my congressman which is Diaz-Balart and they called me a day after receiving my letter and have since followed by advising that they have submitted an inquiry. I personally know Marco Rubio from working with him when he was younger but had not spoken to him in many years and would think that his staff is more occupied with him running for president, so did not think it would be worth it. Instead I also contacted Senator Nelson's office but just recently. I have thought of writing to others but so far waiting for the results from these initial contacts.

Personally, I wrote about the 7 month wait and the discrepancy with the CSC. I also added that my mother is undergoing treatment for cancer and this has been taxing for her because she is very excited about my engagement and future wedding. I even asked them if they would like to meet mother whose lost all her hair and skypes with my fiancee weekly.

I stay positive that will be approved soon but taking a proacive approach in case the wait takes even longer.

How did you go about contacting Nelson? And didn't you post what you sent him at one point (and if so would you mind sending it to me?)? I'm from Florida and that's where my family is and where I filed, though I live in New York state for the time being. My congressman is Jeff Miller and he's a pretty nice guy from what I've heard. I'm still within the processing time, but I'm also still pretty pissed about the "transfer" debacle and TSC being left behind and would like to send a letter at the very least.

Hi guys,

I look for my original Nelson letter. He only sends things snail mail. Boooo Running to go get my lovely child who's in trouble at school so I'll look when I get home. I just sent a followup letter to the White House in response to the USCIS letter on behalf of Obama and I have also emailed all correspondance to the NY Times reporter and shot her a text trying to entice her....I'll keep u posted.
