If you emailed your packet 3 to Vancouver they will respond back with packet 4 within a day. Then you can setup your interview then book with Dr. Cheema. I'm flying to Vancouver from Calgary this Friday for my Dr. Cheema medical then on the 20th will have my consulate interview.

All the best - things really go fast now!

That is great! Thanks! How long ago did you schedule your visa interview?

Were there lots of available appointments with Dr.Cheema?

I booked my visa interview on Dec 23rd. I then emailed Dr. Cheema's office according to what was requested on their website. Told them my interview date and they scheduled my medical. I asked for Friday morning as the interview is on a Tuesday so I needed a day to get the medical results. That is the problem with the Tuesday interview at the consulate - you need to do your medical on a Friday or before.

Processing times for theTexas Service Center is averaging 5 months per their last report in May but UCIS says that they are currently processing June applications thus it seems the real average time is more like 7 months. The disparity between centers seems to grow.

If it continues at this path, I wonder if anyone knows if cases are transfered? Or have they seen changes from one year to another?

I guess I'm no where as long as the TSC folks on here but it's been a little over a month (1mo3d) since receiving the notice from the NVC saying they have sent the paperwork to the Manila embassy and my fiancee still has not received her packet 3. How long does it (past/similar experience) from notice to consulate receipt to packet 3/4 to interview? Mid-October filers here.

Have you tried calling up NVC about the transit? Or checked status online on where is it currently right now? It will tell you at NVC, in-transit, or Ready.

TSC here too, we got our case in-transit on Dec30, and consulate received it Jan5 and ready.

Nope. They already did the transfer, so it's unlikely for another. It takes a lot for them to do it, and they won't. They'll just continue the backlog.

My fiancé has his interview on Friday 1/23. Needless to say we are very nervous. From everything I've seen, the only reason someone gets denied is if they don't have the right paper work, something bad in the medical or can't show a continuing relationship. I had a lawyer do all our paperwork, he did his medical last week and all was good. We have only met once for 10 days in Sept. But we have chat and call logs showing lots and lots of daily communication.

Are we missing anything? Any last minute advise is helpful.

This is so much harder than I ever anticipated ? all the time between 2012 and the time we filled the petition wasn't close to this. And then ppl ask about wedding plans? I'm going the JP route thank you! More wedding stress might just push me over the edge for good !

They did, and things actually slowed down from that point. At the time of the transfers, the average processing time was a little over 5 months. It is now averaging around 195 days, and they don't process the petitions in the order they receive them, so everything is guesswork.

This is the first time I've seen anything sympathetic from a CSC or Philippines filer. It's really unfair and quite difficult to see people having interviews while I'm faced with probably 4 more months until noa2. Thank you for recognizing our struggle.

For all of those fortunate enough to live in a CSC state, please just be aware that there are a lot of us who aren't so lucky. This process does not work for all of us. I don't mean to stifle anyone's happiness with my frustration/sadness/anger, but just be aware. I can only speak for myself but a bunch of smiling and laughing emoticons almost sends me into a rage. I'm fully prepared for this to take 10-12 months. I'm tired of telling people nothing has happened yet and won't anytime soon. No one seems to believe me. It's disheartening.

We had to change our interview to Friday the 23rd, I guess we will see each other in line!

She is going to have her medical on Tuesday, and I will arrive Wednesday.

Do you know if we have to provide translations for any of the documents? it's pretty gray in the paper sent whether or not it's actually needed...

Goodluck to you guys!!
