First time I hear this. Why do they have this doupt? Very strange. Keep us posted and, of course, good luck to you!

Why wouldn't they tell you this beforehand?? Ahh, at least you are close... hope it doesn't take to long.

I wish they did tell us about this before hand. They also asked if my fiance have some pictures of her when she was pregnant with her son and when she said no thats when they mentioned about the DNA testing. i guess they just want to make sure that its really her son:). And if thats the case it shouldn't really matter. All this does is prolong the process a little bit.

WOW! I did not expect this word here))) Some people do not know where actually Ukraine is located =) What cities have you been to?

And I learn Spanish while visa process goes. Just for myself.

Hehe :) I know the Ukrainian alphabet and several phrases/words. I tried to learn it, but I ended breaking it off with the Ukrainian guy and ended up with my now fiance who speaks Spanish and lost a lot of it while learning Spanish, hahaha )))) I started mixing my Ukrainian & Spanish! I still talk to my Ukrainian friends all of the time, though! I'd like to at least keep up with it. It's cool to be able to write a different alphabet! And I was in Lviv for 2 weeks in 2008 & 2009 :) I'd like to go back sometime- it's one of my favorite places.

And it's okay- people sometimes don't know where Ecuador is either, hahah! It's tiny compared to the rest of South America!

And OH MY GOSH that 90 day show! Ugh! EVERYONE I talk to the fiance visa about always says, "OH! Like that show?! 90 day fiance?!" and I have to be like, "no... not quite..." From what I've heard, that's like a mail order bride show, and it's exactly the kind of thing I hate, hahahah. As if we need more false marriages for the GC!

Maybe they have this doubt because the boy is not alike her, what happens sometimes between parents and children. But anyway, after test you will be together finally! Not long now.

Lviv - is a beautiful old city. Glad you've been there. But interesting thing: I have friends from Venezuela and Colombia and when me and my Ukrainian friend started to speak Ukrainian, our friends told us that this sounds like Spanish. It is also fast and has sounds like in Spanish language. Never thought so.

I like this show. Interesting to watch how people get along with new culture, people. Somebody from TLC asked me, if we are interested to be on this show. I told my fiance would he like to be a star? But he has never watched this, so I sent him a link. But anyway, we are not interesting for the show. We know each other well and used to live together... so, we are boring. :reading:

Hahah! Really? Too funny!! I think sometimes people just say that so they have a connection- hahaha! My Filipino friends' families would always try to say I looked like a filipino. I'm italian & romanian.. I look nothing like filipino! I WISH I had some of the incredible hair that they have! But I feel like they were just being nice and wanted me to feel connected to their culture, lol! I love both Ukrainian and Spanish, but boy, there is no way they sound similar! Such distinct languages! I mean every language definitely has similarities, but they are so different! :)

And yes! I love Lviv! Can't wait to go back someday

We finally were told via phone today that the NVC received our case and it was already forwarded to the embassy here in Vancouver on Dec.18th. My fiancé used this app called "Auto Redial" by Solar Systems each time he called so he wouldn't have to sit and just keep redialing till he got through. Just thought I would pass that on in case anyone else out there would find that helpful when calling the very busy NVC :)
