Congratulations on your interview date! We are looking forward to ours soon as well, my fiance is working on getting his certificates from work and then we will schedule. This is so exciting! We're in the home stretch! I'm so excited that now I'm really starting to seriously think about the wedding. lol

I was curious, how are you other brides planning for the wedding since, we haven't had a specific date to work with until the visa is granted? I have my dress, but as far as vendors I think I will call so they can have 2.5 months notice. Is anybody going for a civil wedding and reception later? I also considered the "destination package", but couldn't find one for where we want to marry... Then I thought about a civil ceremony, but have my heart set on a church wedding with family and friends.

Okay, I'll stop rambling. lol I was trying to tell my fiance the other night that I was picking wedding colors, but he's focused on his certificates and wrapping up things at home so we can be together ASAP. I don't think most men can mult-task like ladies do.

We didn't even think about fiance visas until well after we had booked the wedding and gotten engaged haha! Our wedding isn't until September, but we are having a civil ceremony when he comes on the visa, which is hopefully early Spring! Then our second wedding in Ecuador will be in October! BUT our guests will not know that we're "legally married" until the wedding. Our real matrimony isn't a piece of paper for the government.. It's our celebration in our home church with friends and family.

At first we didnt want to do the civil ceremony because we wanted to be married first in front of everyone, but the more we thought about it, it was a good idea. It allows my fiance to work in the mean time to save money for our wedding(s), and it also allows us to have all of the legal stuff out of the way come time for the wedding(s). It also allows us to be stress free in planning and not having to rush around. We had everything booked a year and a half in advance! So nice. I wouldn't have it any other way. I give props to those who DO plan in the 2.5-3 month mark waiting for the visa, but personally, I don't like the pressure. Plus I like to enjoy the engagement and wedding planning.

(Edit: PS! I missed that you said the part about not having a civil ceremony because you want a reception... You know, you don't HAVE to skip a ceremony/reception in a church if you have a civil ceremony! A civil ceremony can just be showing the government that you're legally married with a piece of paper. It doesn't HAVE to be your actual wedding, as I mentioned above. It certainly can, and people do it! But if youre concerned about planning, consider that as an option! Really! It helps so much to have the legal stuff out of the way and be able to enjoy the planning. Like I said, the real ceremony that matters is with your loved ones! I hated the idea, and now I'm thrilled to be able to have the civil ceremony out of the way first!)

Hey all-

We received our information from the embassy and went online to schedule interview, earliest available is December 16 and almost everyday after!!! We have to do the medical first so that earliest date wont work for us.... We cannot believe how fast this process has been and that now the embassy is pretty much waiting for us, where we were waiting all this time. CRAZY!

I am so far away from wedding yet... we are waiting for the answer on our RFE. Scary a little =) Hope everything will be fine and we will get approval soon.

We are not planning a wedding wedding. My family is in Ukraine and his family is in England, so we want to get married somewhere on the beach. Hawaii or Miami. Just two of us. I do not have a dress yet, nothing yet. Just idea. 3 month will be enough to plan wedding for two. But later we want to go to England and have a real wedding with our friends and families.

Haha well we, like most of u, will have the civil ceremony first... we'll try to do that asap so we can file for AOS and EAD... i want to be able to work before the season starts... as for the actual wedding ceremony, i don't think it will be something big... my family and most of my friends are in Bulgaria, so they won't be able to make it

What do most people send with the avadavit of support? I have paycheck stubs, bank statements, is that enough?

I think the tax return is the most critical document

Here we go! Finally got the APPROVAL 6days after TSC received our response to RFE (G325A form for Fiance)! Just so overwhelmed that we got this unexpectedly! NOA2 knocks like a thief on the night! You never know when it is coming..Keep patience everyone and keep the FAITH!

We sent our reply on Tuesday, hope USCIS have it already. Hope for soon approval!

Our NOA1 was Oct 6, NOA2 Nov 10, NVC READY Dec 10, and Embassy interview is set for Jan 10. My fiance will be going to his medical exam on Dec 15 and 16. There were actually Embassy interview appointments still available in December, but we wanted more time to ensure all of our paperwork is in order and to allow plenty of time for the medical exams. We still haven't received the NVC case number hardcopy, but we have screenshots of the CEAC case status stating that our case is ready for consulate interview. We have been so fortunate that everything up to this point has fallen into place so beautifully. We are praying for our good fortune to continue and praying that every other loving couple can be together soon. God Bless us all.

Our case has been ready for interview since 12/1. but we've just been waiting for the paperwork from the embassy. Thank you! Philippines cases can be scheduled online with the embassy after receiving the case number. Most people do not receive any mailings from the embassy in Manila before their interview.
