Hi guys,

Today we've got an RFE... I do not know what it is about. My boyfriend left to England because of serious family issues. So he is not in the country and I do not know when he will come back. I`ve read about RFE and it says that usually USCIS gives to a petitioner around 80 days to reply. Is that correct? Is it always 80 days or it depends on kind of request?

Thanks in advance.

At least you got the RFE..it means movement..good for you :) still waiting in vain here for NOA2. TSC is not as fast as CSC:(

It is movement but not in the right time for us... now it`s stuck there. My boyfriend left on Monday and we got RFE on Thursday. And nothing we can do until he will come back home... I am nervous. We sent so many evidences. I think something wrong with forms.

And I am sorry about TCS, these guys are really slow... as I checked last week they were processing August...

Hi, try not to worry too much about the RFE. I got one too and worried for 3 days. I went through my copy of the petition before the letter arrived and realized I forgot to check the box for prior criminal record. So it ended but being something simple and easy to fix. So moral of the story, try not to worry, you'll give yourself an ulcer. At least an RFE means that someone has touched your case.

Take care

Thanks. I try not to worry but anyway I am worried about the date of returning my boyfriend to USA. I do not want to miss the deadline...and I do not know how many days do we have. I called USCIS and they did not answer me, because I am not a petitioner even I have a number of our case. On different forums it says from 30 till 87 days. At least we have a month (less now) to reply. Hope my boyfriend will set everything up there...

So I might have to wait 2-5 months for my NOA 2? I was looking at the TSC processing times here on VJ and I saw quite a few cases had already received their NOA 2 and I panicked a little. I as afraid maybe there was a problem. When I try to check my case on the USC website it doesn't work. It used to work, now I just get error messages.

Everyone that has received a NOA2 on this thread has been from CSC with the exception of Phillipians. That's why I started the other thread so that we can see how cases handled by TSC are progressing.

Yes, it can be frustrating. Even being the petitioner they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone, said to wait for the letter to arrive. I don't know if your boyfriend were to call if he could speak to someone and explain the situation that he can't get to his mail? Just a thought.

I'm not in too much of a rush. She can't fly here until end of april any way because she's finishing up her masters degree. I was hoping my May, early june the lastest things would be done and I can fly here here.

Is that a reasonable timeline?

Didn't you say you got your NOA1 in October? The earliest you'll get it is January, but it's likely you'll get it in February or March. You don't have listed your country of origin, so I have no idea how long it will take your consulate to receive it from NVC. Basically you'll most likely get it in February or March; it'll take another week or two for NVC to receive it. THEN it will be sent to your consulate. Beneficiary is called to make a medical appt and interview and will receive some kind of packet. You can check here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?history=90 about the average amount of time it will take between the NVC receiving and getting the interview. For example, once NVC receives my case, it will take around 40 days for my fiance to have his interview. (Edit: YES! Scratch 40! Our consulate is going fast! Once NVC receives, it'll be about 20 days before interview!! WOOHOOO we need NOA2 soon! :D )

Then it will take another week or two for beneficiary to have the visa delivered to them (unless you can ask for same day OR you live close to the consulate; my fiance is 8 hours from the consulate, but we are requesting it be done there, as he'll be staying there).

From that point, you'll have at least 3 months to get to the US and get married. So, by the earliest you'd have your visa by April, so your beneficiary would have by June to get to the US and get married.
