USCIS has updated the processing date for TSC to April 5, 2014. I'm hopeful that they can move through April and May quickly because of the transfers.

But I still have zero hope of getting NOA2 before the 6 month mark, which would be the end of April for us. Life is not fair.

Nah. Several Oct filers just got their NOA2's. So it can happen :). Plus Visa Journey gives an estimated time of end of Nov to end of Dec.

Estimated time lies. All those approvals are CSC or Philippines. I'm not going to fill myself with false hope because some people are expedited. And the TSC vs CSC discrepancy is just plain inexcusable.

When I sent in the application, I didn't have much hope of seeing any movement on it until at least April or May. If it happens before then, it'll be a pleasant surprise.. otherwise.. us TSCers are in it for the long haul. Looking at my timeline estimate on VJ tells me the laughable date of Nov 22nd... what a joke. I wish people would fix their timelines. What I've yet to figure out is why there were a few cases for June that were approved. We're heading into the holidays now, I don't see much happening over the next two months.

I think you're right. The next couple months will be slow. The holidays will probably cancel out any swift progress we might have seen moving through the non-transferred April and May petitions.

Since I'm not anywhere near being able to contact a congressman or senator, I've started tweeting @USCIS asking for more transfers and to just generally do something to even out the processing time. I'm sure nobody is reading my daily tweets, but at least I feel good about it.

Count me, only 2 weeks in, as one of the bitter people who get angry seeing other people approved in just a couple weeks when there are so many others who have been waiting for months. It's not their fault, but the system is broken. 2 weeks vs 6 months is completely unacceptable.

No, I'm NOT talking about CSC. I'm talking about TSC... It isn't just about it being Philippines; they go "in order" of applications. What will matter after NOA2 is your country & consulate. No one mentioned anything being expedited, either. I'm not sure where that came from.

USCIS HAS to give you a later date so that they can cover their butts if they're delayed. Doesn't mean that always happens. CSC happens to be fast now, but they aren't always. TSC seems slow, but it isn't always. Trust me- I was discouraged, too, but it's not "stupid" looking at the VJ estimated date because clearly it happens. It's better than refreshing the USCIS page and seeing the same thing. This isn't false hope; it's very well possible. So keep hoping! They may slow down, but that doesn't mean they stop (at least not for now!) :)

PS- the estimate is based on your service center and other's current experiences with it specifically. So why would it give you a CSC or Philippines based estimate?

You're right- it is unfair and unacceptable But, let me tell you again, it isn't ALWAYS 2 weeks vs 6 months. I've seen timelines where CSC took 6 months, and obviously we've seen TSC take a few weeks. It just depends on the amount of cases. You have no idea what will happen, which sucks. But there's really nothing we can do, and getting frustrated won't help you! It'll stress you out more. Just think in the long run that you'll be joyfully with your love soon enough- regardless of the timeline! Even if it's not in the timeframe you want, you'll be together in the end. And those other approved people will be rejoicing with you. That's what this community is about. :)

I never said it was stupid to check the timelines. But Igor's list relies on user supplying correct information and a lot of people's timelines contain errors. And there definitely are still Philippine expedites happening whether anyone wants to admit it or not. So I do consider it false hope to look at Igor's list and see people from CSC inadvertently in the TSC list and a lot of quick Filipino approvals. It skews the data.

Ironically, a longer wait fits my fiancés timeline for moving closer to the fall of next year . If we got approved quickly it would throw us for a major loop. We've been at this for 6 years so the distance and time apart don't kill us like they did when we were first together. The unfairness and the fact there are a lot of others waiting while they seemingly are being passed over is what bothers me. I was prepared for a long wait and I'm ok with it, but I don't like seeing others feeling so helpless and desperate for their day to come while others just breeze through.

The estimate on VJ is based on others timelines and revolves around those timelines being filled in correctly. Let's say poster A sends his application off to Dallas, TX just like everyone else. But he happens to live in.. say Ohio. It means his application gets directed to CSC, but poster A doesn't bother to change the fact that his application went to CSC, in fact maybe the poster doesn't even realize that's where the application went, since they assume sending it to Dallas means the application went to TX. All they know is they are very happy as they got approved very fast (the reason being they went to CSC). These improperly filled out timelines given an improper calculation. Then we have examples of Philippine couples (bless them!) who did get sent to TSC, and are processed in an expedited fashion, within a month. This also bumps up the timeline. Then there were those persons from August who were transferred from TSC to CSC and never bothered to fill in the timeline correctly. These are three scenarios that cause the timeline estimate to be a flawed one. The USCIS doesn't give or guarantee anyone a specific timeframe for approval. All we know is those sent to CSC are processed extremely fast, and those to TSC extremely slow until they are transferred out of it, unless you live in an expedited country.

I feel for you April+Daniel: hey you never know, maybe our fiancé's will interview together. I won't buy into a false sense of hope. Just going to go about waiting calmly... miserable one day and okay the next. My guy is happy it is taking longer -- more time to save and sort out things too.

I got you. I know it can get skewed, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. Even if people didn't update their timelines, they're still putting when they're getting NOA2s. It's frustrating, but we're here to encourage each other in the long haul :) These TSC approvals, whether Filipino or not, are encouraging! :)

LOL! Of course not! I love all of you guys! Each person on here has a different personality, and I love it! Trust me, guys, I'm not always the most encouraged person! I cry a good amount about this. lol. But I have to say, when I allow myself to be positive rather than bitter and remember that the end result is being with my fiance, I feel much better. I was starting to get myself sick and depressed over this (because we want my fiance in US for Christmas & to get legally married on the day we met in January), so I'd rather be encouraged by little things like a change in estimated date on VJ, lolol, than be upset that TSC sucks. It's not false hope if it's possible. Doesn't mean it's likely, but there's still a chance. I won't get my hopes up incredibly high to get disappointed if it doesn't, but I don't want to depress myself on the unknown! :D

Wishing luck to everyone! Besides, they could be feeling in a good, holiday mood and go quicker. LOL. Don't crush my dreams, yuna628! hahaha just kidding :D
