I got my NOA1 hard copy on the 16th. After you get your case #, you can check the status online yes?

Yes you can. Also make sure you create an account and add your info/number into the system and select yourself for emails. It won't make anything go faster and won't tell you much more than what just putting in the case number will, but you may get further updates with email.

yup...just gotta punch those numbers on there and ull see ur case status...you never know, it might say "post decision" status on there..wink wink :D

I feel like I was tricked! I got my hopes up and checked! After 16 hours of receiving our NOA1, no post decision status was there. Geez.

And Jekt, yes, you can get your receipt number from your hard copy or the text/email - which is where I got mine. and the greatest part of it is, the beneficiary can add their information on it so you start getting the texts and emails. I was woken up late last night with my first text telling me my Alien Registration Number was changed.

I would like to add a disclaimer: The site is addicting and you most likely will spend a lot of time refreshing it. :D

Oh, and the most important part of this post that was missed due to it being 6:30am and having a lack of coffee in me... Good luck everyone today, your NOA1's are coming! It'd be nice to see a few more NOA2's as well! It's nice to see them pumping them out so quickly, even if it's just the CSC. It's refreshing to know that everyone will be with their loved ones soon enough.

Guess what? Guess what? Guess what?

NOA1!!!!!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaaay! yesterday, on Oct 28th my darling received a text and e-mail with the number of our case and he thought I received this information as well... somehow... LOL!

Keep fingers crossed for all October filers to get NOA`s as soon as possible!

On USCIS website our case is going through the Initial Review. Hope it is ok.

Hello everyone, just wanted to say hi. I'm an October filer too...I mailed our petition on Sept. 29, but it didn't reach TX dropbox till Oct. 1 and we received our NOA1 on Oct. 6. Just hoping to receive our NOA2 soon. I think we should all see something before Thanksgiving, that will make me very thankful! :)

Hang in there everyone, I'm glad to see that at least the CSC is pumping out the NOA2. Seems like they're getting a lot of the transfers to deal with from Texas too. I feel sorry for the folks there who were waiting 4 months just to get transferred..

However, just be sure to remember that sometimes this doesnt always work! I've read reviews of people who signed up for email updates and didn't get anything or got very delayed emails. I wouldn't check every single dayyyyy (which I did for the first week :rofl: ) but definitely keep checking it.. because sometimes they aren't quick to email the notification. :)

Just wanted to take a minute to encourage everyone to try to not allow all of this to stress you out! :) I was talking to a couple from Ecuador who literally are going through the same process as my fiance & I (NOA1 only a few days after ours), and I told her my fiance & I mysteriously (well, not so much) started getting headaches & not feeling super energized a few days ago. She told us they also started getting headaches! We then realized the other day that it's most likely because of all the visa stuff. I even had a DREAM last night that our case got transferred and that we got our NOA2! Then I couldn't get back to sleep. This website & group is so great & helpful, but if we also ourselves to get overwhelmed with all the info and everything, we're going to end up more anxious.

This has stressed me out so bad because I want my fiance with our family for Christmas & to get legally married on the day we met in January. But as our lawyer and several other people have reminded us, we WILL all get to see our fiance/es soon enough, and this process will make it all the more joyful when we finally get to! The waiting process totally sucks and is so stressful, but if we allow ourselves to be consumed in all of this, we're only hurting our own health. It may take a few months, and none of us want to keep waiting when we've probably already maintained a long distance relationship for at least some part of it, but just remember that no matter how long it takes, we WILL get there! We WILL get to be reunited with our fiance/es and WILL get to be married and start our lives with them! Everything will work out in the end, even if it takes time to get there.

This website has continued to keep us all hopeful and positive, which is so awesome to see. Let's not let this visa process get the best of us and cause us to be anxious or broken! Try to allow yourself to only check the USCIS website every week or only a few times a week instead of everyday, and remember that when you go to it and it still says "Initial Review" (ugh), instead of the heart sinking feeling that I'm sure we ALL get (lol), try to remind yourself that you WILL be together in the end! Keep having hope and know that even if we don't get our NOA2s in the time frame that we want, we can still end up with a positive result at some point. (L)

(You all may need to remind me of this if it comes Christmas & we don't have the visa, lol.)

I'm praying for us & all of you everyday! Be encouraged! :thumbs:

Well I finally have purchased a wedding dress. That gets me so excited, but at the same time a little depressed when I check and see the same thing every day. I know it's going to still take many more months of waiting and waiting, but keep carrying on with hope I guess. ^_^
