Depends where you want to go? In the US or...? You 2 can go anywhere in the US, which of course includes Hawaii and Alaska. There are many nice places to go in the US... California, Florida, Texas, Hawaii, New York...etc the list is endless.

I think you could go to Puerto Rico, as it is a US territory. :) Otherwise I'm afraid your options are very limited. You might be able to get a visa for South America. We looked into going to Argentina and I don't think that he would have problems getting a visa (you as a USC will need one too) Costs about $30 each and takes only a few days to get. I would double check though as I believe you had to show them a return ticket. I didn't want to chance buying the tickets and not getting the visa.

well if you mean can you travel somewhere right after he gets here?no you cannot unless you apply for that. i read there is a special pass (advance parole) he can get to be able to leave the country before he waits for his green card. i wonder how easy that is to obtain? i've been wondering this same question myself. i know there are many gorgeous places to go in the US but i wish we could have our honeymoon elsewhere.

but if you mean way down the line. he can go many places as far as i know. a family friend married a moroccan over 30 years ago, moved to the us, and they have done a lot of foreign travel. i will have to ask them how difficult it was for him to get visas. many places require a visitor visa (including for american visitors) check into where you want to go ahead of time to be able to apply for the proper visa. travel.state.gov

Advance Parole is a document that allows you to return to the US once you've left. You can leave anytime, the document is strictly about returning. However long they retain their Moroccan passport, ie, until they get USC & a US passport, the Moroccan travel rules apply where ever he travels. Meaning, if he needs a visa now, he'll need it forever until he has a US Passport.

I would search, think of where you would like to go then check to see what the requirements are for that country as they can differ so much...also, don't forget to file for his advanced parole asap along with AOS after your married. He can't come back into the US without it if he leaves the country. You could still do something like Hawaii and not have to worry about the immigration ####### just to go on your honeymoon.

Duh...I should've kept reading. At least others have made you aware of advanced parole he will need to re-enter the country.

It's also permissable to use advance parole during the limbo between AOS interview & approval. Keep in mind it's another application & fee, though, and another wait.
