I would prefer that the captions just be in regular English. No need to mock the Asian accent. I kind of consider that to be a little offensive.

In fact, this whole thread is offensive. But, it's also pretty funny too. And funny beats offensive.

The original and main poster is from Hong Kong, so he's actually mocking himself.

Like Cary said, I'm a birthright citizen of HK as well as the USA.

My wife Tiff, is of Chinese descent from Malaysia, so she too, knows about being a second rate citizen.

(And she does speak with an accent, the worst one you ever heard lol)

Speaking as a minority, I feel that when I don't feel secure enough to mock my own race, is when I feel that my race is inferior.

I love HK, and sympathize greatly with those freedom and democracy loving people.

And more power to them. But this thread isn't about politics.

I apologize if I offended you with the portrayed accents. But I believe the effects wouldn't be the same without them.

For the other posters here, they have spouses from the far east also.

To me, finding humor in our everyday lives is a great way to get by.......
