Ok if you file 1040 or 1040A you have to put total income not adjusted gross income and if you file 1040ez you have to use adjusted gross income.

So in your case it will be total income because you filed 1040.

I did same mistake and sent them back without checklist i caught mistake.

If you check AOS instruction you will see in there in page number 6 in the bottom line.

Okay so I just got off the phone with NVC and they told me that my AOS documents had been processed but they are waiting on reviewing my IV documents until they notify me of any checklist so the 60 days ends on November 29. I know for certain that I will need to send the original birth certificate and translation (it was kept when he got his passport) but the guy told me that I shouldn't send anything until I receive a checklist because of having another 60 day delay. I'm not exactly sure what to do, should I wait for a checklist or send it anyway because I sent everything plus translations in my package so there is nothing they may say is missing really. The police certificate is not attainable in his country and he was never incarcerated. I included everything from the list on their website.

Police Records

Unavailable.

Prison Records

Available. Persons who have been incarcerated may obtain records from the Laboratorio de Criminalistica e Identificacion, Jefatura de la Policia (Laboratory of Criminology and Identification, Police Headquarters) in Mexico City, or from the Presidente Municipal (Municipal President) or Delegacion de Policia (Police Headquarters) of the area of residence.

When the guy told me the AOS packet had been scanned and they were waiting for the IV documents he did not mention missing anything so I'm assuming I should have received a checklist for the first packet right? Because I've seen that people receive AOS checklists and IV checklists.

I am 29th Aug and waiting. Come on NVC. Hardly slept last night.

Considering how much NVC is dragging its feet with your case, you're doing a great job maintaining your composure so far.

While you're waiting for your impending cc this week, how about throwing a log on the campfire and regaling us with the good old days during your first visa journey? I've heard wild stories that once upon a time NVC was actually meeting its contractual commitments in processing cases from start to finish in under two weeks!!! :wow:

Or just scare the pants off of the uninitiated VJ newbies with what's coming their way... 'Tis the season to be scary...
