A quick question, when you get checklisted do you just correct the mistakes or do you send the whole thing again

Send whatever they ask u to send, it will be mention in the checklist what exactly they want you to send,for iv im sure u dont hve to send whole thing again.

A quick question, when you get checklisted do you just correct the mistakes or do you send the whole thing again

If you are missing a certain document, then you just send that document. But, if your mistake is the AOS, then you need to re-send the entire AOS 9 pages again.

What was iv checklist for which document was missing

The checklist was for the original divorce certificate, which I did submit, but they didn't like it, because Nebraska does not put stamps on their divorce decrees. I fought with NVC about this for 2 weeks and had 3 supervisor reviews, but they wouldn't budge. I submitted a certified copy of the divorce decree just in case on Oct 2, and they told me to wait 60 days. But then they approved it all of a sudden for an unclear reason... I am very happy to be done with them, that's all I can say.

My timeline for NVC processing:

May 4, 2014 Submitted DS261

May 7, 2014 Paid AOS fee

May 12, 2014 Received an email confirming that my DS261 (agent registration) form has been processed

May 15, 2014 Paid IV fee

Last scan date: July 22, 2014 NVC received my IV and AOS packages (mailed together), date confirmed in the email on Aug 5, which also told me that it will take at least 60 days to process

July 25, 2014: Submitted DS260

August 6, 2014 Requested an expedite

August 8, 2014 Got an email from NVCExpedite asking for two phone numbers

August 8, 2014 Responded with two phone numbers

August 15, 2014 Received an email from NVCExpedite which states: "The US Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case once we have all the fees, forms, and documents. We received documents for your case. Please allow 60 days for us to review your documents."

August 15, 2014 Called NVC, the rep told my husband that while the Embassy has agreed to expedite my case, NVC will still take at least 60 days. The reason that NVC cannot do it any faster is because they cannot sort through all the mail to locate my case.

September 16, 2014 Got a checklist for a divorce decree, the original of which I submitted. They said it needs to have a stamp, even though it was issued by a US judge, whose office confirmed that their original decrees do not have stamps. [/background][/size][/font][/color]

September 29, 2014 Mailed a copy of the decree with a certification and stamp attached to it. The judge's office in Lancaster county, Nebraska, said that this is how they certify their documents. They still do not put stamps on originals or copies themselves.

October 2, 2014 Checklist scan date

October 17, 2014 AOS fee changed from "paid" to N/A

October 20, 2014 Case complete confirmed by calling NVC.

police clearance certificate has to be sent to nvc ? or we can bring it to interview.

Yes they want it now at the NVC with IV documents and i have seen lots of people get checklist for that.Please check this link below, it explains everything.

I asked nvc everytime i called and they said can bring it to interview so i didnt send it. I dont know what to do so stressful

it depends on your country. I did not have to send it to NVC because the Police Certificates in Costa Rica are only good for 30 days ( even though they say 90 days on the certificate). I got checklisted for it but had it removed because the person reviewing my case did not know what they were doing. The supervisor removed it the minute I called and found out about the checklist.

When you call NVC, the operator can look it up for your specific country. I called many, many times and made different operators check and tell me the same thing because I DID NOT trust them.

The rules are not all the same so please check for your specific country

Thanks yea i asked them and they said its not mandatory to sent here foe mumbai consulate but i dont want to get checklist and add more 60 days so so much frustrated cant even tell.
