Hi everyone,

I know Saylin says in her WiKi to write your case # on the top right corner of all docs submitted. Should I also write it on the I-864EZ form? Has anyone had any issues with this?

I am sending out both AOS & IV packages today. Since they are both going via Fedex (i am putting each pkg in a separate folder inside the FedEx envelope), which address do I send it to? I have the one for CMR AOS and CMR (for the IV) but since they are both going inside the same FedEx envelope, not sure which one I am supposed to use. Does it matter?

I wrote from irs transcript and it without cents before I put wrong in there for 1040a I put adjusted gross income and I caught mistake and without checklist I just sent it. I sent irs transcript of 3 year, tax return of recent year, 6 month pay stub, job latter, bank verification latter is that it or need to submit something else?

and for civil document I sent birth certificate of my husband mine, marriage certificate, passport copy, photos.

Well you submitted more than they ask for which is always good. Since you sent the IRS transcript tax return was not needed (but nothing wrong in sending them). For 1040a i think they need what is written on line 22 and for 1040ez they need what is written in line 5.

For IV Documents ( i am the petitioner for my wife): I sent in her birth certificate (with notarized translation), marriage certificate, photos, Passport photocopy police clearance certificate. Sent them both the originals and photocopies and marked them separately. For IV documents they only need beneficiaries documents.

CASE COMPLETE!

The scan dates are a bit funny because I re-sent the AOS package after noticing the Total Income/AGI mistake.

Original AOS scan date: 12 August 2014

IV scan date: 27 August 2014

Re-submitted AOS scan date: 11 September 2014 (received 60-day letter)

I'm not sure which they used, but it doesn't matter anymore!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, especially to Saylin and the other veterans of these forums who have offered their help and support. I will definitely stick around to help answer questions and give advice as requested.

My advice: Be meticulous about everything you submit! Keep a positive attitude and get away from these forums once in a while because they will start to stress you out!

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats! So lucky! I also made the AGI/Total Income mistake, realized it a week after I sent the packet, but they STILL checklisted me after reviewing the correct I-864EZ.

The shorter version: How often are expedite requests approved when they come from a member of Congress (Senator in this case)? Do they care as much about the reason for the expedite when the request comes from a Senator?

The longer version: I emailed my Senators last week asking them to intervene at the NVC because I've been checklisted for things that I am sure that I submitted in my packets (and was told it would take 42 days for a supervisor to review and then, of course, another 60 days for them to review it if it had to resubmit). Anyway, I heard back shortly from my Senator's office that they would look into it. Three days later when I was speaking to an NVC operator, she said that my expedite request was sent to the Panamanian Embassy last week, which I found crazy (and exciting) because I did not ask for an expedite request--just that they look at my file again to see that I filled out the form correctly.

This has me curious about whether the embassy will actually expedite my case because I didn't have a reason to expedite that is traditionally listed (rather, I thought I was just a good candidate for Supervisor Review). Anyway, my questions are these: How often are expedite requests approved when they come from a member of Congress (Senator in this case)? Do they care as much about the reason for the expedite when the request comes from a Senator?

By all documents, I meant all of them (except the cover letter and cover sheet, as I mentioned).

The whole purpose of writing the case number is in case one of the papers falls out of the package and gets misplaced. If there's a case number on the document, then it'll be that much easier for them to relocate it to your case.

But it's entirely up to you if you don't want to write the case number. I suggest you do though.

You're welcome!

Obviously, writing the case number isn't a 100% guarantee the documents still won't get lost (you know how special NVC is ;) ), but I'm sure your chances are much lower of that happening if there's some identifying numbers on each page.

Yes, of course. NVC is extremely special lol

By the way, sorry for the double post but i have one more question. I am sendg out both packages today but each cover sheet has a different Attention to: (AOS has CMR AOS and IV has CMR). Since i am putting these in a FedEx envelope, does it matter what address I send them to? Is there a preference of one over another?
