My OAS fee status PAID changed to N/A.

Called NVC, CASE COMPLETED.

IV SCAN DATE IS 08/11/2014 AND CHECKLIST SCAN DATE 09/27/2014

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORTS. GOD BLESS YA. HOPE EVERYONE GETS OUT OF THIS NIGHTMARE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

ALLHA IS GREAT

CASE COMPLETE CASE COMPLETE

Congratulations! I am very happy for you! When was your AOS scan date? Do you think they went by that date instead of your checklist scan date?

My timeline for NVC processing:

May 4, 2014 Submitted DS261

May 7, 2014 Paid AOS fee

May 12, 2014 Received an email confirming that my DS261 (agent registration) form has been processed

May 15, 2014 Paid IV fee

Last scan date: July 22, 2014 NVC received my IV and AOS packages (mailed together), date confirmed in the email on Aug 5, which also told me that it will take at least 60 days to process

July 25, 2014: Submitted DS260

August 6, 2014 Requested an expedite

August 8, 2014 Got an email from NVCExpedite asking for two phone numbers

August 8, 2014 Responded with two phone numbers

August 15, 2014 Received an email from NVCExpedite which states: "The US Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case once we have all the fees, forms, and documents. We received documents for your case. Please allow 60 days for us to review your documents."

August 15, 2014 Called NVC, the rep told my husband that while the Embassy has agreed to expedite my case, NVC will still take at least 60 days. The reason that NVC cannot do it any faster is because they cannot sort through all the mail to locate my case.

September 16, 2014 Got a checklist for a divorce decree, the original of which I submitted. They said it needs to have a stamp, even though it was issued by a US judge, whose office confirmed that their original decrees do not have stamps. [/background]

September 29, 2014 Mailed a copy of the decree with a certification and stamp attached to it. The judge's office in Lancaster county, Nebraska, said that this is how they certify their documents. They still do not put stamps on originals or copies themselves.

October 2, 2014 Checklist scan date

October 17, 2014 AOS fee changed from "paid" to N/A

October 20, 2014 Case complete confirmed by calling NVC.

I thought it can be either w2s or transcripts. Nvc wiki states that as well. Did you get a checklist for just submitting w2s?

[ppqpuote name=e&g12.05.13" post="7295517" timestamp="1413598899]

Hi there! Got a Checklist today :(

Hubby didn't't send the tax transcripts...he thought w2 was enought. Anyways..good thing is our last package scanned was also reviewed (IV package on Sep 16) and we're fine with that. So hopefully the 60 days thing will be just a matter of safety, but we can tell they're slowly working with a 30 days scanned to review..prayers for that!

Congrats!!!!! Very happy for you!!

Yes! Stupid right?! My husband is so mad at himself.. He bought w2 were enough...but he sent yesterday overnight and praying that they keep going faster (our last scan date was sep 16 and if it wasn't for it, we'd have a CC, both supervisors we talked with said the IV package was reviewed and accepted)

Let's wait and pray for a sooner answer!

My AOS scan date is 14th aug and civil document last scan date 26 sep and i realized i made mistake in AOS without checklist so i sent back yesterday so hope its come soon

So the 60 days dont really matter? Because you sent checklist back on October 2 so they dont consider that is last scan date and 60 days from there?

Try to break the record of how much stuff could be packed in a Prius and post some pictures.

Haha, I rented a cargo van from U-Haul. No way would everything fit into my Prius, especially my desk and my 6' cat tree!

It sounds like they might be going back and reviewing cases by first scan date for those that sent items in before the change to sending packets together. I'm sure there were a lot of calls of nvc about having to wait until sixty days after last scan date. So maybe they've decided to review them together still, but by first scan date. That would explain the random sept and oct case completes. I don't think they've forgotten us with Aug 27-29 dates, they're just taking longer to get us as a result.

I was wondering when you submit the civil documents, am I supposed to include the photocopies along with the originals. Thanks

It is better to include 2 photocopies of each original with case number written on top right corner. This way they won't have to take your original off to some photocopier only to forget it there and lose it. Also, they do request at least 1 photocopy so might as well provide them with 2 just in case.
