I submitted my DS-261 on August 28, 2014 and received IV Bill on September 27, 2014. It took about 1 month-not 2 weeks.

Thanks a lot! I was beginning to worry lots. I guess I'll patient just wait.

Hello Guys,

I had my interview on 7th Oct at Mumbai-India Embassy. CO said everything is fine and they gave 221(g) and ask me to submit those docs and passport in VFS dropbox. Then I submitted my Joint sponsor W2 2013 which mentioned in 221(g) to VFS on 8th Oct. Yesterday they delivered my package to embassy. CEAC status is AP and last updated status is 09 Oct. Now I am waiting for Visa Approval... Any one can help me .. Any experiences in this situation, How long they will take to issue visa.??

We have booked tickets one month before for 18th Oct.. :(

(Attached refusal letter)

This is surprising after you get your AOS accepted by NVC....Did they ask you any questions or docs about this during interview? I guess as its just 2 docs it should be pretty fast....Good Luck and be strong

I am an EP filer and i can tell you we get processed similarly to the people who send their paperwork by regular mail. when you send by regular mail..you can track your papers, and then know when it reached them and then also get to know the scan date in a phone call. But when you do EP program this doesn't happen. IF you are LUCKYthen then send you an email, otherwise you had to wait and call everyday to find out if your packet is even in their system. This can take upto 2 weeks or longer. Apparently the customer service agents do not have the email information for about a week minimum. I sent my document on Oct 7, haven't got an email and it is not in their systemso i have to call them everyday until i know thy have it.

As for processing, I know that is exactly the samethe only difference iswhen you mail a packagesay oct 1 -- they receive it oct 4 and scan it oct 7..thats your date.so you loose maybe 6 days, but all throughout you know where your paperwork is. In EP if i mail my package on Oct 7, (this becomes my scan date), but I have to wait at least two weeks to even know if they have my email. And if not, then i have to send it again on say oct 21 and then date may become my new scan date. We don't get any special treatments.

regards

Targetnovember14 do you have any news yet?

We sent both packages together because the NVC operator instructed us to do so after the AOS fee showed paid. The IV fee and DS260 were available 7 days after they received the package.

It's possible. You'll have to contact the consulate. They make the choice to close the I-129F or continue with the K3 now. Is a k3 what you want?

Oh ok, i thought it was nvc who made that decision. Thank you for the response. Honestly the way nvc is going right now i would go with the k3, we would pay more but i think if we wait for the 130 we are looking at another 6 months ?
