Yours, I think, is one of the fastest from last scan date to Case complete recently. Not sure when your lsat scan date was exactly though.

What was your last scan date?

Jordan is strictly EP, I believe, so document reviewing speed is misleading.

Hey everyone.

I have another question regarding the NVC. On the list, which was included in the Welcome Letter, it says photographs, does this mean we have to send in photographs again proving our marriage just like we did for the I-130?

Last time I spoke to a rep at the NVC I ask if EP's were process differently than mailers. The rep swore that they were processed the same. Even when I told him I have seen EP's with later September scann dates get cc he said that maybe they are lying because they reveiw all the same way. We know that's not true. Even today on this thread there is a cc with a september scan date. Everything is scanned and done electronicly once it gets to the NVC so can someone olease explain to me the justification of EP members getting reviewed before us mailers?

Good morning all I have a question for all that have sent in the IV package...I am the petitioner and I am a us citizen. My husband lives in Jamaica. We are currently waiting for nvc to assign our file with a case number. They received our case on oct 1,14. Since it appears that we will need to send my husband in passport, his birth certificate and police clearance, im trying to see how I can get these items to the Nvc w/out much delay since he has them and if he has to send them from jamaica, it will take weeks for nvc to get them. Im assuming all these docs will need to be originals. Im just confuse as to how we can get these documents to them w/in a one day turnaround time. He has all these docs right now except police clearance. He should have that by Nov 1. How was everyone able to send their iv package so quickly?

you will assign yourself as his agent or he will choose you as his agent. he should mail you a copy his passport bio page, his original birth certificate, the police certificate and any other things you may need. NOW

you will be submitting them as his agent from the US.

there is no need to explain job loss. if today you have a job that meet the income guidelines you have nothing to worry about.

I am an EP filer and i can tell you we get processed similarly to the people who send their paperwork by regular mail. when you send by regular mail..you can track your papers, and then know when it reached them and then also get to know the scan date in a phone call. But when you do EP program this doesn't happen. IF you are LUCKY…then then send you an email, otherwise you had to wait and call everyday to find out if your packet is even in their system. This can take upto 2 weeks or longer. Apparently the customer service agents do not have the email information for about a week minimum. I sent my document on Oct 7, haven't got an email and it is not in their system…so i have to call them everyday until i know thy have it.

As for processing, I know that is exactly the same…the only difference is…when you mail a package…say oct 1 -- they receive it oct 4 and scan it oct 7..thats your date….so you loose maybe 6 days, but all throughout you know where your paperwork is. In EP if i mail my package on Oct 7, (this becomes my scan date), but I have to wait at least two weeks to even know if they have my email. And if not, then i have to send it again on say oct 21 and then date may become my new scan date. We don't get any special treatments.

regards

My concern now is that I have "Paid" status for AOS since about 2 weeks ago, was told by 3 NVC reps I would get my IV invoice within 5 days after they go over DS-261, and I still haven't gotten it. How long should it be? They told me that when they go over the form together with you in the phone, they push it through faster, yet I'm leaving to be with my wife in 8 days and don't want this to become available while there. I wanna do it before I leave. Also, I understand I can just pay for it while there, but to do the DS-260 scares me since the Internet connection isn't the same as here in the U.S.. What should I expect?

I submitted my DS-261 on August 28, 2014 and received IV Bill on September 27, 2014. It took about 1 month-not 2 weeks.
