OMG this can be real! This is a real brainteaser how NVC review these pacakges! Some of us are told that they review both packages at the same time others don't.

I personally no longer know which Saint to turn to..please NVC get your story straight for God's sake!

Anyone called them recently and heared the same version?

Thanks in advance for sharing!

I was told that the packets are reviewed together. However, I think that there is just mis-understanding at NVC (at least I am hoping).

I am thinking that if your case arrived at NVC at a certain point (Sept. 12th perhaps) or after then packets are reviewed together. If before, then they are reviewed separately. I am choosing to believe that this info is not being disseminated properly to the phone reps.

This is only my hope. I am trying to make some sense out of this. To me it is the logical and fair way. Fees paid separately and packets received separately then packets reviewed separately. Fees paid together and packets sent together then packets reviewed together.

60 days for my AOS packet will be next Friday so I will call then and have a case to argue. Since I was originally told that my AOS packet would be reviewed in at least 60 days. I guess we will see.

I am so happy that the NV has simplifed the process for applicants! I just wish they communicated this better as I am on day 60 of having sent my AOS package and eagerly called this morning only to find out from a very rude operator that I have to wait another month since they will be reviewing with my IV package :/ Just really hoping both get accepted!!

Everyone here probably knows this quote but it always makes me feel better to say it! "“Distance is not for the fearful, it's for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those who know a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough” Good luck everyone on your cases!!!

I will be doing this next Friday. All I want to know is if I get a checklist o AOS so I can fix it faster. In reality if you are in our situation and get a checklist on your AOS, this could end up costing you 90 days.

Looks like we will be looking for case complete around the same time though.

Exactly - this process works better for anyone just now starting at the NVC process but not for us who had to wait months to do what they can do now in one week.

One month means a lot if our AOS package is returned with a checklist. The first person I spoke with, Artie, ended up yelling at me saying that this works to our advantage. I called again to get a different person and she apologized saying that ALL applicants must now go through this so regardless of the fact that the process was different when we began, we will have to wait until they review the IV package. Very fustrating :(

We haven't even been allowed to pay the IV bill and the AOS bill was released/paid in June... I get different answers as to why this is every time I call. I recently read some reviews on working for the NVC just to see what people who work there say about the company and it isn't pretty. There is no rhyme to the reason here. Anyone have advice as to how I can get them to release the bill so we can get on with this?

If I were you I would send in IV packet now! About the fee I guess talk to a supervisor. That is entirely too long.

I just paid my AOS fee!!!! My IV fee was also unlocked at the same time as AOS and says PAY NOW but it's not available yet. Either way that one will have to wait until next week but at least it says PAY NOW!

So happy I am finally seeing movement.
