We submitted our DS-260 on September 13, but just had our IV packet scanned in today, October 8 (DHL/Customs lost birth certificate and police certificates in the mail setting us back a month). I know they are reviewed together, and the usual story is that they go with the latest scan date when reviewing documents. But has anyone had multiple packages reviewed together by the earlier scan date? Just looking for a little hope after waiting for a spousal visa for seven years.

ok so your case is just like me --

my AOS and civil docs were sent on jul 10 under the EP program. On july 11 we received email confirmation. On july 12 i added an extra PCC. No email confirmation on it. Got reviewed on sept 4 saying i have only 1 checklist for AOS in part 6 item 10. My lawyer sent the corrected AOS on sept 7. NEver heard anything back. I asked him to check on it, he didn't. Finally i called up NVC yesterday Oct 7 and found out they don't have it on their system. FOund out from my lawyer he sent it to NVCattorney@ instead of NVCelectronic@. This time he sent it to the correct email address.Which means i lost one month FOR NOTHING!!!:ranting: Now waiting.

in your case --- you said you got two checklists --- were they two separate checklists? like two separate emails?

And you called to confirm and it took them 5 days -- from sept 10 to sept 15 to give you a confirmation. correct? for the AOS checklist.

Hmmm you sent the BC on sept 25 and then again on oct 3 . and they don't see anything for this but only for sept 10 email? I think you have a typo because you say sept 25.

I would definitely call the supervisor. Technically it takes them less than a couple of days to send an email saying they have received our paperwork. I am calling them everyday and so is my lawyer until i get a confirmation that they have received it. If i don't hear anything by oct 14 i will ask him to re-send it. And will continute to do so every week until i hear from them. He already has a supervisor request.

yes i hope so.we sent the corrected AOS againmy lawyer sent it to the WRONG email address(he sent it to nvcattroney@ instead of nvcelectronic@)in septso now my new scan date is Oct 7 (IF I get a response back from them) what did the NVC customer service reps tell you about how much time does it take for it show up with them

when i talked to gus yesterday he said one month is tooooo long...

I don't know if this helps you.though...

when we had first sent the paperwork in July..we sent the first email on july 10 and got a response back that they have received our documents on july 11. then on july 12 i sent another PCC again. I never heard back from them on that. But i got reviewed. the reason i say it, is because you sent some documents for your checklist and got a response right? and then sent your BC again later.and haven't received a responsei think it will be ok. Though as of right now, i am not 100% its NVC after all!!!!

by the way how much time did it take them to send you an email fro the time you sent your response for the checklist that you sent the first time?

Ok so here is my story both my AOS and Civil docs were reviewed at the same time. On Sept 5 they issued 2 checklists one for part 13a on AOS and 1 for BC on civil docs. On Sept 10 i sent in the checklist docs to them I called everyday until on the 15 was told they had my email and scan date was Sept 10 i requested to speak to a supervisor to explain that in the original dicuments the BC was included and tgat I rcvd a checklist why? So she said that I needed to submit a specific one not the one I sent. So on Sept 25 i sent the new BC i have been calling everyday and they have not rcvd it according to them so on Oct 3 i sent another one and i have been calling again and they still dont see any emails except Sept 25. So i think i am going to call for a supervisor this is Ridiculous. Since we do EP they can see when our email arrived and they keep on saying they dont have anything. I think we should get Saylins opinion on this.

I am requesting a Supervisor tomm morning for sure. I wanted Saylin to see this maybe she has any ideas of what to do... But i am unsure how to tag her.

I spoke with May in NVC on Oct 3rd.

I was really confused about what to send along with my AOS package because quite a lot of what is on the checklist(emailed to me with the aos fee notification) is duplicated.

She told me to send 3 separate envelopes all in one big envelope

1. AOS form I-864, receipt and documents

2. Form I-864a and documents

3. Civil Documents(shown on the checklist as 'supporting documents')

This helped me IMMENSELY. She walked me through some of the definitions and explained where they apply to the petitioner and where to the beneficiary. She was initially annoyed and almost dismissive, directing me to the NVC website. But, when I read the checklist out to her, she realized she'd never even seen the paper I was quoting from.

The operators honestly don't know what people are being sent. Request patience and a supervisor if necessary(i did ask for a supervisor before she willingly walked me through it) if you are feeling in any way confused. In the end, she was extremely helpful and even gave me an email address to send a copy of what I had received so this hopefully will prevent confusion in the future.

She told me that the Civil Documents is for the IV and by submitting it all together with the AOS package, I'll only have One 60 day review rather than Two. Even if my IV bill hasn't been paid(i got that email today, but it's still not available to pay online).

Hopefully this info helps someone else!

Hi all, it's my seventh NVC month..haha it's too long!

My IV scan date is Aug 21, but we had not noticed the AOS checklist for a month and now we are very sad!

The operator Nickie told me there is no error on our I-864ez form, but the checklist says as below..

Part 5 sponsor's income and employment

My husband's income indicated on the I-864EZ Part 19 does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax rerurn.

He has called NVC again and again but never be able to connect. I can contact NVC easily because of the time differences between here in Tokyo and NVC, but the operators are always rude and each of them told me different answers.

My husband changed his job from last year, and so his income ammount on 2013 tax rerurn and his present income at new company are not the same.

But according to the checklist, these two ammount of income should be the exact same?

Please someone help us..my husband really doesn't know what to input.

But surely people get raises year to year and current income is regularly different than previous years tax returns? this is strange!

Normally, how long it takes from the time AOS being changed from PAID to N/A to receiving CC e-mail?

I don't know which date our AOS fee status changed from paid to N/A but we had a case compete on 30th Sept and received our email last night (7th Oct) - 1 week.

Incidentally the 7th was our 60th day from NVC receipt of our IV and AOS packets.

Submitted AOS packet on 8/8 and rep confirmed that they will not review until November 17 or so....60 days past when they scanned in my IV documents. I had the IV packet ready to go sooner, but purposely waited to send until the IV fee actually unlocked. Apparently following the rules (at the time) was a big mistake and I should have mailed in everything at once because now getting a checklist will be all the more devastating if it happens. Just gotta pray I did it right and this won't cost me.

Based on what others have posted about the new process, I knew that's what they would tell me when I called this morning... but hearing it still stings.

I am, however, thrilled to see all the new approvals. Lets hope this new mailing process will actually cut back on their review times.

In the same boat as you. I will have to wait 90 days to know if our AOS packet is OK (with no checklists). Sorry but this just isn't right.

Just got hung up on by NVC rep. What a waste. I agree that changes to the way things are done can improve things but the way things are implemented have a major impact on people caught up in the middle. No thought has went into the implementation of the recent changes at NVC.

I doubt the time they are gonna make up in the next month or so is gonna make much of a difference especially if I get a checklist. Just waiting, hoping, praying that my packets do not end up in the hands of one of the useless trolls wandering the hallways of NVC

No. I was only saying that since they review documents together now and they take 60 days to review them. Then if you sent AOS packet and waited for IV fee to be paid before sending in IV packet then you will not know if your AOS is checklisted or not until they review all documents which actually will be around 90 days from the time they received my AOS packet.
