I don't really have much to add to this conversation since NVC hasn't received my case yet - but I guess this is a good place to post this?

I was approved September 20th. I know it hasn't been long, but I tried to call NVC yesterday - redialed about 60 times to get through, waited on hold 30 minutes, then my cellphone dropped the call. I gave up. Today I tried and got through the first time, waited on hold about 20 minutes, and they told me they haven't received it yet, to allow 5 weeks.

I recalled seeing a post once upon a time, suggesting calling USCIS, speaking to a supervisor, and getting the date the package was physically shipped to NVC. I tried that, the first USCIS agent I talked to told me to allow 90 days for NVC to receive my case. Then I waited about an hour an a half to talk to a supervisor, who told me to wait 30 days. The supervisor was pretty rude, he basically said not to bother calling USCIS again unless NVC hasn't received anything after the 30 days.

So is it 5 weeks, 90 days, or 30 days? I'm just going to try calling NVC once a week until I hear something.

Ah, you have touched on one of the great mysteries of 'time' passage at the NVC. Not only will you hear/read all kinds of estimates, but you will see differentiating timelines among your NVC peers.....

I have been faithfully following Saylin's wiki page and it hasn't steered me wrong. Get a calling plan, waits with NVC are often 30-40 min on average (once you get through). The centers will often send approved I130s in a bulk delivery. You can see the time lag in my timeline (approved on the 19th mailed on the 29th in NVC system on the 11th). I began by just calling NVC to see if my case had simply arrived, then called more regularly for case assignment and IIN. In the meantime, get everything organized. Both packages go in at once now, and you wont want to be waiting when you can finally move some paperwork....

Answers above in bold and blue.

Saylin, I was told by 3 NVC supervisors that I was supposed to get my IV bill by now, and since I didn't then they passed it on to a supervisor. Is that normal, have you ever heard of this before? They're not sure why I haven't gotten it yet, but they assured me in the next "few days" I should get it since they passed it to a supervisor. If this week goes by and I get nothing, is there something I can do? Thanks in advance. (AOS paid already)

yes i hope so….we sent the corrected AOS again…my lawyer sent it to the WRONG email address(he sent it to nvcattroney@ instead of nvcelectronic@)…in sept…so now my new scan date is Oct 7 (IF I get a response back from them)… what did the NVC customer service reps tell you about how much time does it take for it show up with them…

when i talked to gus yesterday he said one month is tooooo long...

I don't know if this helps you….though...

when we had first sent the paperwork in July..we sent the first email on july 10 and got a response back that they have received our documents on july 11. then on july 12 i sent another PCC again. I never heard back from them on that. But i got reviewed. the reason i say it, is because you sent some documents for your checklist and got a response right? and then sent your BC again later….and haven't received a response…i think it will be ok. Though as of right now, i am not 100% its NVC after all!!!!

by the way how much time did it take them to send you an email fro the time you sent your response for the checklist that you sent the first time?

Ok so here is my story both my AOS and Civil docs were reviewed at the same time. On Sept 5 they issued 2 checklists one for part 13a on AOS and 1 for BC on civil docs. On Sept 10 i sent in the checklist docs to them I called everyday until on the 15 was told they had my email and scan date was Sept 10 i requested to speak to a supervisor to explain that in the original dicuments the BC was included and tgat I rcvd a checklist why? So she said that I needed to submit a specific one not the one I sent. So on Sept 25 i sent the new BC i have been calling everyday and they have not rcvd it according to them so on Oct 3 i sent another one and i have been calling again and they still dont see any emails except Sept 25. So i think i am going to call for a supervisor this is Ridiculous. Since we do EP they can see when our email arrived and they keep on saying they dont have anything. I think we should get Saylins opinion on this.
