Do you find that the wait is shorter or the attention is better with using the Spanish service? I speak both languages but I always choose English because it's my first language and I assume there are more English-speaking operators.

At about 40 minutes of being on hold, I'm starting to play with the idea!

Hi again! ;) I only called NVC 3 times, but I chose English twice and Spanish once and the Spanish line wait was definitely shorter (25 minutes vs. 60-70). The operator I got was very nice, but not sure if that's always the case. Also this would be kind of cheating I guess, but the operator I got spoke perfect English too (they're in NH after all...). You could always try.

CR-1 (Argentina): April 2014 to March 2015.

ROC (VSC): March 2017 to March 2018.

Mine too!! Maybe we should call NVC for an expedite since it's our bday month?! :idea:

Case complete case complete case complete please!!! :star: Even though I'd rather NVC review docs in the order they receive... it's more fair that way!!!

Last scan is Sep 15, guess I'll need to wait for November!

Anyhow, best of luck to everyone and please no checklists!!! :no:

hey, did you call to ask about the IV bill to be unlocked or they just did it ?

Call them will get it soon,without call also u will get but it will take some time, usually after 30days of ur ds261 u get iv bill.

We are 15 Aug but no news yet......

They still working on August 8th and forward, I just spoke to them this morning too see if anything has gotten done to my case and the operator just told nothing has been done yet and any day now I should hear something and I'm 8/8

Mine was 7 days after DS26 to get IV Bill.

I posted this in Sept filers- re posting here as that thread is closed...

Ok, I need an honest answer. Do we need an immigration lawyer? I am feeling overwhelmed by this process. I am still compiling AOS/IV packets...my husband has not been as helpful as he could be, I have been doing most of the research and figuring out how to do this whole process. I finally got him on board to take this seriously in helping me...but I feel he has a bit of an arrogant attitude...that because he is Swedish he is a "desirable" immigrant.

But the truth is we have black marks on our case. The worst of which is he was traveling in the US last year without a proper visa and got caught...put in detention. The woman who dealt with his case released him without charge - she said He was "not a criminal, and the least of their worries", he flew home to Sweden...and then was denied a tourist visa a few months later...our i-130 was already in process- so they used that as a reason to deny. But I feel that we will go through all this effort & expense and be denied. My good friend made me see the light tonight. She is an Australian married to a US citizen. She said we were insane to not have a lawyer...especially considering his "black marks"...I am now agreeing with her. I have written my husband an email that he will wake to in the morning. I am asking that we get a lawyer. If everything was perfect, it would still be difficult. If there is one thing I have learned on this forum, is that a lot of innocent and good people are caught in this process, and they don't have the "black mark" that my husband does.

Please, any advice would be welcome. Thank you.
