congratulations!

My AOS scan date is 08/22, while my IV packet scan date is 09/11.

I guess these BS people will review my documents based on the most recent date....

At least, it seems they are increasing their approval activity....

Fingers crossed for not having a checklist......

Congrats to everyone who got a CC lately!:dance: Makes me happy to see so many of them!

I'm still waiting for mine, and probably will for a while since our checklist was scanned Sept 12th. Haven't called them to confirm, but I'm guessing my IV docs (scan Aug 14th) won't be reviewed until they get to my checklist <_< Oh well. Trying to stay positive! Should only be a month now, if no more checklists! I have a bunch of stuff scheduled for October, so hoping time will just fly by. Good luck everyone! Wanna see a bunch more August CC's today!

I understand that PCC is considered unobtainable from some countries, but surely NVC requires passport copies from all applicants! Why take a high checklist risk by not sending something you already have? Has your case been expedited by any chance?

I strongly recommend that you discount what NVC reps say if it contradicts what fellow VJ members from the Dominican Republic tell you.

For what it's worth, here is what the Visa Reciprocity page says for this country:

Police Records

Available. A certificate, called a "Certificate of No Judicial Records" (Certificado de No Antecendentes Judiciales), is obtainable by both Dominicans and non-Dominicans 18 years or older who permanently reside in or have resided in the Dominican Republic.

Oh I absolutely sent everything else including the passport copies, the police certificate I didn't because it's only needed at the interview. I spoke with probably 8 different NVC reps before sending my package and 100% of them told me that the police certificate it's not needed for NVC being that my case is from DR. But they said we will need it for the interview plus the passport pics.

Thanks for your wishes, and good luck to you too :)

I literally just got off the phone with a 9th NVC rep and she as well looked up the requirements for what I have to send them, she said that per DR requirements, NVC does NOT need police certificate here, and I told her your story and about your lawyer. Her reply was that maybe your lawyer was being very careful as a precaution, but she reassured me that I will NOT get checklisted for that reason. I asked her to please ask her supervisor, she was so nice and put me on hold for about 5 minutes, she then came back and said that yes in fact they do NOT need it here, but yes for the interview at DR. I'm still praying that all goes well for all of us here in this long journey.
