All of this advice is personal so please consult with a lawyer if you are looking for the legal answer.

Basically, do not lie. Do not lie to USCIS and do not lie to NVC. It seems like you (or your agent) made a pretty big mistake with USCIS considering you have lived abroad for 5 years and that someone wasn't mentioned on G-325A which asks for all your previous addresses for a certain amount of years.

I do not think you are doomed, but you need to rectify the situation. The embassy and NVC are looking for an established history for you - what you have done with your life, where you have lived, who your family is, etc. You'll see all of that during the AOS and IV portions of the NVC process. I suggest you call NVC before submitting anything and ask to speak with a supervisor. I have no idea what they will tell you - probably nothing about USCIS as it's a totally different agency - but they might tell you that you need to fully and honestly complete the DS-260. I would be very careful in proceeding because once NVC or the embassy smell a lie or find inconsistencies, they will most certainly try to investigate further.

Thanks for the reply. I have filled out the DS-260 with all the correct info. hoping that they would not dwell much on the USCIS part (fingers crossed)

but just wanted to know, come interview time should I be proactive with the info or just let the interview take its course?

Does anyone know if the interview letter is sent as email or hard copy? Additionally if it's hard copy and it comes to me the petitioner can I scan the letter to my wife to take to medical or does she need. Original

Note I haven't recieved a CC just being proactive

hey hey

So since you can send the AoS and the IV package together.

My husband is sending the AoS and I am sending the IV, I live abroad.

My question is do I need to enclose the bar-coded confirmation from the AoS payment?

We would send it both together but my husband got told he has to leave for a deployment next week, yesterday(super short notice) <_< and doesnt know for how long he will be gone :(

So maybe this works too :help:

Thanks in advance

Do they still issue false checklist after AOS gets reviewed?

Yes. We received a false IV checklist via email last week when our AOS got approved

If you mail it seperately, you must enclose the AOS barcode sheet in your IV package, so they can scan it properly and assign it to your case file. If you don't, it can delay the processing and review of your documents. I mean you could try to express mail it to your husband on Monday (via DHL, costs 60€ I think) if he's still around when it gets delivered. If he is not, then mail it to NVC with the AOS barcode sheet via "Eil Kompaktbrief International" (taking around 7 days) to ensure that your docs would get reviewed approximately at the same time later on.

No it wont make it in time to him. Since he is leaving for his deployment next week, he just got told yesterday that he has to go,so really sudden. So there is no other way. So he will send the AoS on monday and I ll do too then.

They seem really insistent on sending both together now from what I've seen. :( This seems really stupid but can't your husband send the AOS to you and then you send both together to NVC? Especially if you request the expedite, because if it's approved then the NVC will have to find your packages to send to the embassy and having them separated might delay things for you.

My Iv scan date is 8/8 but I sent in another form needed scan date 9/9. I called yesterday and the day before and both operators told me that everything would be reviewed together on the most recent scan date(9/9).

I hope so Charlie because this wait time is so depressing, sometimes I feel stressed but I try to keep calm. I remember one operator telling me that if the documents were sent in separately then they would be reviewed separately. I don't know what to believe.

I m just afraid that the mail will get lost sending it to me happened before so I don't really want to. Haven't heard anything about the expedite yet, so I dont know. I guess we have to do it that way. :( super worried :crying:

Hi guys, kind of random but, I've noticed I've been getting a lot of 60 day notice emails from NVC. I sent in AOS and IV separately. and I did receive those two with two different dates. I noticed i messed up on my i-864 and resent. I got an email but it had the same date as AOS. Then about 30 minute later i got another! Now today almost 2 weeks later I got another one with AOS date!

I'm confused. Has this happened to anyone else? probably just overthinking it... haha

When I talked to the nvc operator Wendsday she said that this rule went in to affect that day. Before they look at them seperatly.
