Canadian Mom

Thanks. Yes it does appear that they reviewed all my documents together, when they got to my first email which was sent Sept 5, (AOS papers).

Once my IV package was ready I sent that off as well on Sept 15. The IV fee was unlocked only Oct 3, hence I completed the DS-260 Oct 5.

So in short EP worked to my advantage because all emails starting with the first were reviewed together.

Congrats! I'm so glad to see this. I haven't seen a lot of stats on EP, my last scan date us either Sept.16 or Sept 12 depending on which agent I talk to. (We emailed it on the 12th) I'm hoping next week I'll hear something.

Good morning,

We too have just had a communication this morning from the NVC by email, which is funny because I only called them last night (and learned nothing from the person who read through their script robotically).

We received an AOS CHECKLIST:

My husband has to provide the GROSS income and fill out a new I-864. He has been living in Canada with me for the past 7 years, but has filed US returns. His most recent return shows a negative GROSS income.

My question is: how do we deal with a negative GROSS income reported? Have others come across this or something similar?

We have provided a lot of information and concrete steps he has taken to re-establish domicile in the US. Will this work in our favour?

Have others experienced this?

Many thanks!

Hi! I had the same issue...I reported what I made living in Japan and they wanted the specific number from Box 22 on my 1040...which was 0 for one year and $-13. for another year. Silly if you ask me! Income earned in another country should certainly count but whatever. An on top of that they have my taxes in from of them so an addendum made electronically would have made better sense here for me but they needed me to fill out the form again and re-mail it. What a process, right! OK, rant over;)

So, i reported exactly what was in those boxes. If the sponsor doesn't work in the states I assume you will have to go by assets or get a co-sponsor. For us, we are going by assets. I just got a job last week but we sent all of our stuff off before that happened so we are hoping for the best.

Best of luck to you!

Hello everyone.

Just checking back in with some good news. My wife was approved at her interview in London yesterday.

The consular section at the London embassy was able to reschedule her interview and issue her visa all within 2 weeks of receiving our file from NVC!

For those of you headed to that embassy after NVC, I thought it might be helpful to know that London goes above and beyond to speed things up for IR-1/CR-1 cases that have crawled through USCIS and NVC.

Oh, and for those of you who are new here, don't forget to read and re-read Saylin's wiki! :)

Good luck!

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.
