Alright - got the e-mail for the IV processing fee (YAY!) but aside from that I'm just wondering with all of the AOS checklists going around - am I assuming right that perhaps ours will be easier since we are not going through all of the taxes/W2's or the such? I am the USC and a SAHM living outside of the US for over 9 years. We are only providing assets and a job offer contract to sustain us.

Has anyone just put assets acrossed and how does it affect your processing? Is it easier because I will literally be putting 0 on incomes and tax information? I will of course put acrossed a cover sheet stating the reason why I did not file taxes but our assets are well over the poverty line for our household.

Hi..I am using just my employment letter and 6 moths of paystub. Hopefully that will do the magic. My income this year is above the proverty line eventhough 2013,12, and 11 is 0, so I called nvc 4 times to ask about the joint sponsor 2 representative said this should be ok and ofcourse one said include the sponsor. Anyways I am sending all my paperwork s without joint sponsors.

Though I sent in my IV on 8/8 and my AOS checklist correction on 8/15 I also sent in one document on 9/9. I just got off the phone with an operator who informed me that as of today the NVC will be reveiwing all documents together base on the last scan date they have . So my IV and checklist will not be looked at until they get to the date of my last doc 9/9. Which also means that if I have a checklist on the IV pkg I sent in on 8/8 I will not know until 9/9. What a crock. They are free to change the rules in any way they want. This just seems so unfair.

Oh noooo ? they just go back and forth how ever they feel like it.. Positive thinking and no more checklist and hopefully you get a cc soon. ?. My attorney just forward me the tracking number for my AOS checklist, will be there tomorrow morning and the count down begins again...

Hi VJ'ers

Did you submit the Original police certificate or a photocopy?

My confusion comes because on the wiki it states original, but on the travel.state website it says photocopy.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

. What is you scan date??

My CC was August 26th with my last scan date June 20th. My case took extra long because NVC messed up and reviewed it, then filed it without completing the case. I had to get a supervisor to get my file and review it again and complete it.

RE-POST-------IF ANYONE CAN HELP--------

I am filling out my DS-260 and where I have to fill out my address details, it ask for any other address(es) where I may have lived afer I turned 16, I have lived in Australia for almost 5 yrs so logically I should just go ahead and fill out the address(es) in Australia. Now here's the twist my wife (petetioner) or her lawyer I should say, while filling out my USCIS (I130) application completely forgot to mention the part that I lived overseas. So USCIS had no info that I lived in Australia. Now when I submit my DS-260 , would I get a checklist of some sort, or would there be any sort of complications at the interview, as they might see it as we tried to withold the info. Is there any hope or am I completely doomed. Any help is much appreciated

Thank you, I got a checklist for AOS however it did not impact that much as my IV was invoiced on aug 7, for a ds 261 of june 6. As Austin would put it, the IV delays then helped with any AOS checklists. Also it looks like NVC is processing AOS and IV together even when they are rec'd on different dates from aug 1 dates. Seems like they are using the latter of rec'd dates. In my case thats what I noticed.

Originals are required, but do include copies. At my interview I received all my originals back, including PCC, since I submitted copies for all.

And don't get confused by the "certified copy". It means an original re-issue from the same agency that issued the original document.
