 That's weird. Filing as MFS doesn't require an ITIN. You're sure you filed everything correctly? Maybe call up the IRS and ask, cause, unless they've changed things, they shouldn't be needing that.

I called the IRS just now and they had no idea how to answer my questions and just said if you think we're wrong, send us a letter back stating why. Doesn't sound very promising.

Even if I were to fill out a W-7 for my spouse I wouldn't even know what box to check for the reason for submitting. None make any sense to me. I asked the IRS rep and of course they were no help with that either.

I guess I will just have to write a letter back and see hope it works out.

Oh goodness :bonk:

Is there an IRS office in town you can visit? Maybe they can help better.

Hello VJ,

Any cc today?

Hello VJ,

Any cc today?

Hey perez2012, I have not seen any cc today, but since they started with December appoiment to Dominican Republic. I had hope to spend Christmas with my husband, ,but from what I see it will be in January I called earlier today to NVC and they said have to wait two weeks more to complete my case,

the famous 60 days.

My AOS package was reviewed since september 17th , just wating for IV package review.

but let's stay positive, maybe we get a surprise.

I live overseas with my wife; far, far away from any IRS office unfortunately.

Oh, dang, didn't realize you were overseas. Yeah, maybe a letter back to them will help. Just explain you were filing as MFS and as far as you know, an ITIN is not required.

For appointment in December should have completed this month, people with CC October 17th, 19th already have appointments to december (DR)

Re-asking the same question-does anybody know how long are checklists reviwes currently taking? I was so close to get my case complete and then they gave me a checklist on my AOS sent in June :S Basically they lost my husbands I864 and nobody takes responsibility. I tried sending emails but of course they could care less.

I am kinda interested in this information as well. I received my AoS checklist on 10/17 and the new package was scanned on 10/21. I do not expect them to review it any time soon but having some days as reference would be cool, at least to keep myself busy while waiting...

I've been checking Saylin's Spreadsheet but (unfortunately for us) not many users have recently received a checklist and got their CC. Based on those few dates (August to November) we can estimate the following information:

AoS Checklist Scanned ----- Case Complete ----- Waiting Days

7/9/2014 ----- 8/22/2014 ----- 44

6/20/2014 ----- 8/26/2014 ----- 67

7/22/2014 ----- 9/11/2014 ----- 51

7/31/2014 ----- 10/3/2014 ----- 64

Now I don't think that 4 cases are enough to do any statistics but based on those dates the average you will have to wait is 56,5 ≈ 57 days (at least they are not 60 lol)

I can't see why IRS couldn't tell you how u filed. Meaning your filing status. But I know for a fact that if you go to irs.gov and print out your transcripts it has your filing status on it.

ugh :( the whole 60 day wait makes me want to cry, I'm on the same boat with the AOS checklist.. original scan date for both aos and iv was 8/8..... Got aos checklist on 9/30 ( two mistakes made by attorney ) new scan date for aos checklist 10/3.. tic toc 27 day into the famous 60 day wait.

But they're talking about a current tax return that's being worked on, so there won't be a transcript for it yet.

It seems after reading the interview thread for canada sometimes they are and sometimes they are not.

Nigel78 just posted their experience for K1 visa at the montreal consulate and apparently her husband was with her, though apparently it didn't seem clear if he was there with her or not at the time of the interview. you can read her experience on interview thread for canada.

Good afternoon Saylin,

Do you know if at the interview in Montreal me the wife is allowed to go in with the beneficiary the husband. I know i can go in and submit dics at window but at interview?? Do you know? Thanks

here is another review for montreal consulate. from the talk it seems like they let US citizen come with you.

"eview Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa; this is review number : 15394

Interview went well - except they would NOT let us in early as we thought, instead we had to come back no earlier than 1 hour before our scheduled time. They give you a number which they did not follow in sequence (not sure why). Was called to the first window which was clerical and just checked all info, documents, and made sure they had everything they needed. "Then called to the actual interview which was just a few questions about my (us citizen) job, and about our wedding". She then told us we were approved and let us know what would happen next. total time was about 2 hours - actual time talking to people was about 1/2 hour.

the line in bold--- i am assuming its the petitioner
