Thanks. On the bottom right of every post (just to the left of the quote/multiquote buttons), there's a tiny red text that says Report, and sends the post along with an explanation to a moderator, I believe. About "liking" posts, directly above the quote button there's a little green up arrow to give "reputation" points to posts... which is essentially a "like", I guess.

I've interpreted it more of a "I agree with the information provided" sort of thing. This isn't Facebook :P:lol:

I recently amended my tax return to married filed separately and wrote NRA for my spouse's SSN (just like the wiki says) and received a letter from the IRS saying that my tax return was not accepted because of missing information. They said my spouse has to fill out a W7 form to get an ITIN even though we filed MFS. We have 30 days to send in the W7 or we will receive a fine. :cry2: Has anyone else experienced this?

 That's weird. Filing as MFS doesn't require an ITIN. You're sure you filed everything correctly? Maybe call up the IRS and ask, cause, unless they've changed things, they shouldn't be needing that.

Oh ya, I know most people use it like a "like" button (this is evident when people post they got case completes and when an interview date is assigned). I use it more sparingly, most typically for when people give advice and I agree with their explanation/answer ;)

We are! And I really hope so. With all the September IV packages/checklists (even a few October checklists I think?) that have been reviewed along with August AOSs... it COULD mean September will go by faster. I don't want to get my hopes up TOO much, but you know. ;)

Thank you, patnjac. Means a lot. :) I couldn't believe two people "liked" the post, even. I reported it about 20 minutes ago.

I understand this process is very disheartening and brings people to their breaking point, but I too was offended with this post. Thanks patniac!

Hey,Just got off with a very rude Nikki..

Obviously, the 60 days are from IV package. I've been told that 2weeks ago.

This Nikki confirmed it again today...She said the 60 days starts from IV Package scan date and that my IV scan date is Sept 23rd...so far it was Sept 24th (2 other reps told me 24th..) but I am not complaining I won a day! :)

LOL each time I call them I have a new scan date...AOS: Sept 5th then 8th / IV: Sept 24th and now Sept 23rd !

I also asked what date they are working on she said can't give you this info and don't expect to hear from us before thanksgiving and hung up! Nice....what if I had other questions?!

Lucky are those who got a CC within the 60 days from their AOS Scan date...

I don't wanna understand the logic of this process anymore I am just praying to be done with NVC with NO checklist eventually within my 60 days.. November 23rd or 24th...!

What are your scan dates (AOS and IV)?

Good luck

I think they are just buying more time with which scan date they are using. They keep saying the one that gives them more time lol

Because if they truly were going by the IV scan date, then I have seen some mid to late september with case approvals where the IV was submitted in late september and the AOS was submitted in august

USCIS

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

July 10th 2014 - NOA2

NVC

July 17th 2014 - Case shipped to NVC

July 30th 2014 - Case received by NVC

August 13th 2014 - Case number and IIN received by email

August 13th 2014 - DS-261 Form Completed

August 14th 2014 - AOS Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 17th 2014 - IV Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 19th 2014 - DS260 Completed

October 6th 2014 - AOS and IV Packages Received

November 28th 2014 - AOS and IV Checklist (4 items in total. 3 for documents they lost. Called on December 9 and a rep said no checklist for IV....go figure)

December 8th 2014 - Checklist scan date.

December 30th 2014 - Case Compl........NOT. So after not having an interview date yet, I called again on Jan 30th and apparently its in final review with a supervisor.

February 6th 2015 - Case Complete: Supervisor called from NVC to confirm everything has been completed now.

March 27 2015 - Interview Date

March 27 2015 - Approved!

Re-asking the same question-does anybody know how long are checklists reviwes currently taking? I was so close to get my case complete and then they gave me a checklist on my AOS sent in June :S Basically they lost my husbands I864 and nobody takes responsibility. I tried sending emails but of course they could care less.

I'm guessing that I filed something incorrectly. I'll call and report here what happened.

The lady I spoke today was nice I just didn’t like the answer when I see that there are ppl getting approved from the AOS date she did say this is something new. I think they have no idea what the heck they are saying. They are there to answer the phones because in realty they do not give much information. Bcuz one week ago I was told that they might review my AOS & IV from by AOS date.

Example USCIS told me they needed another 60 days and then I had my approval within that week.

The good thing she also told me that they are working to speed up the process. Let’s have hope that we get approval by this month. I think it will be 3 months from the AOS date.

They are always working to "speed the the process" i'm not seeing any evidence of that whatsoever. I'm trying not to think how slow this process will get with holidays around the corner, granted everyone needs/wants to be with their family during the holidays but hey we have the same right just as much as NVC employee does. Except they are in a position to make changes. But hey why make change when you can profit and tear families apart.

This process has infuriated me to the core with our immigration system.
