I just received a checklist today to correct my AOS forms and provide the Birth certificate...today was horrible :( I received the email and was so confused and spent an hour calling NVC :huh2: The lady was confused because both lists were for my joint sponsor and it turned out one was meant for me and the other for him. After asking what was wrong exactly I corrected everything printed it and added the documents needed. Not to mention that I had to translate it today and luckily it was ready right away. I rushed to the post office and mailed it and it should arrive by the 29th and by the time they get to it and send me the 60 day notice :clock: Does not look like he will be here for Christmas or his birthday in January

Hope everyone else is having better luck! :dancing:

Hi everyone,

The tears have finally stopped falling, I have spoken and screamed at my husband in frustration and have now settled down. Am drinking a Coke Zero and will regale my horrific morning.

Dropped children to school, rushed back to call NVC and hopefully hear some good news.

Spoke to an operator and finally they put me through to a Supervisor - Ike. He was OK but there is nothing he can do.

My Singapore Police Certificate was scanned in on 29th August. I emailed NVC back in early August to see if I might take the Certificate to the Interview. I didn't hear back from them and so Andy and I decided we would Fed Ex it to NVC and get the clock ticking. They emailed me back on September 17th to say that my email had insufficient information. I had left off Andy's birth date. They then wrote to me on 24th September saying they received my documents of the 17th September which was, in fact, their email to me.

Turns out my last scan date is NOT August 29th but now September 17th. They opened up my file a few days ago but didn't look at the Police Certificate because they saw that there is another piece of mail waiting to be reviewed from September 17th even though it was their own email. Really!!!!!

I cried on the phone - it did not good. He went really quiet for a long period and I had to ask him if he was still there. There is NOTHING they will/can do. I just have to wait until they get to September 17th scan date.

Any idea anymore where they are up to. In reality it is only a couple of weeks away but looks like we will miss the December interview and home for Christmas.

I am dreading telling the children this afternoon that they won't be back with Dad for Christmas. I am SO sad for them.

I will be around a while longer. Looks like we are 'scan buddies' samreen although I think (and will be happy) you will get yours before me although I should only be a few days behind you.

If I get a January interview I will email the Sydney Consulate and see if they can bring it forward. That is the best I can hope for at this point.

Am numb - don't know what to say.

Love to you all.

I am sorry to hear this. But keep you head up ok and know that there are people in tougher situations. Always move forward and never step back :)

I'm so sorry to hear. I hope they work through September mail faster than we expect. I can't imagine how hard it is to be away from your significant other with children. Wishing you strength and a fast reunion.

Call NVC again and request to speak with a supervisor. Maybe someone different from Ike will be willing to help you. Try again.

just by looking at the recent CCs people have gotten, they are all around August 27-29

The off ones in mid september and october were checklists with original scan dates in August.

I'm not sure how the visa we are applying for factors in with you all in this Topic.

Our application was a i130 and is for what i think is a CR2 visa for my aged under 21 Son.

We are currently in the 60 day wait after submitting AOS and IV.

I have no idea where the discussions are on these forums for CR2, but we are being dealt with by the NVC.

Filed October/November 2013

Our last scan date was Sept 3rd for AOS and IV packages (sent both together)

Got home from work this Evening and the AOS paid has changed to N/A

Don't know if this means CC or a checklist.

Hi saylin,

I have a question re medical. I read your wiki as quoted below:

"...there are a few countries (like the Philippines, for example) that allow advance medicals (ie: you can get the medical done as soon as you have the first piece of correspondence from NVC, instead of waiting for an interview date to be assigned)..."

What do you mean by 1st piece of correspondence? My latest correspondence from nvc was the 60day letter. Will that suffice to schedule medical? Because i called the accredited clinic here in the philippines and asked if i can take my medical even though i do not have an interview letter yet (but, i was not able to tell them that i'm just waiting for my case to be completed by nvc and already got the 60days email). Then the lady

(I do not know her position in the clinic, maybe an operator or concierge, told me that it is better to wait for interview letter because if not they will call embassy to ask if i really need to have an exam taken ahead of time without interview letter.

Thanks!

The first piece of correspondence is just that, the first piece of correspondence you get from NVC which contains your case numbers. It's typically received a few days after the case number is assigned (if they have your email addresses on file).

Since you're not a IR-1/CR-1 filer or a derivative (as this thread as well as my wiki is aimed at), then I don't know if you're eligible for advance medicals.

i called nvc and they said they will mail out my package today or tomorrow because of the expedite and the Guyana consulate will get my interview date?

Oh, if you've been expedited, then yes, it's the opposite for you. NVC should be sending out your case shortly and once the consulate/embassy receives it, then they'll contact you with further information. Either they'll request information from you before assigning an interview date, or they'll just assign you one and then notify you. Either way, I'd suggest calling the consulate/embassy a few days after they've received your case to find out the next step.

Hello everyone, I just checked ceac and AOS had changed to N/A. I called NVC and our case is complete.

Our last scan date was September 2nd. Thank you everyone for all your help. We're hopeful that we will be together by Christmas break.

I was part of the old NVC process. I hope their new procedure speeds up the process for everyone else so you don't have to deal with multiple 60 day waits. Best wishes.

What's your scan date?

The first one was Aug 18th and the second one Sept 29th. They sent the checklists for both packets in one e mail. So the first scan date took longer than 60 days and the second took less than 30...I'm hoping this next one takes even less! :clock:

Hello VJ, we are really hoping to be cc the first or second week of Nov and Dec interview. Praying! Scan date Sept 24. Any cc for Sept?

Hi Perez2012.

We have the same scan date of 24 September and I too am predicting a CC 1st or 2nd week of November, with a December interview.

I am now following your timeline.

:-)

We have the same scan date.

My guess is that we would get case complete by Nov 27. One can dream though!

Hi RobbieG

I too have the same scan date and am now following your timeline. :-)
