Hi all,

I have an expedited case with the NVC and I received an email saying that review of my paperwork (AOS & IV) will take up to 60 days. My question is, does my expedite affect the review process at all or will I have to wait the 60 days?

Thanks in advance.

Can anyone confirm if we should be filling out the DS230 or DS260? I dont see any mention of DS230 http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english.html. I havent seen it on the CEAC site either. I was under the impression the DS230 was replaced with DS260.

Thanks,

DS-230 is 100% obsolete. Everyone submits the electronic DS-260 now.

That's sad Qbanita, post your checklist here so others can help you determine what it is asking and what corrections need to be made. Lawyer helped my case by bypassing the DS261 and saved me one month, but he made some mistakes on I-864 and thanks to this forum I caught them.

Congrats dilmera on your CC..good luck

OK, Please Help. I have been a silent member on this thread and have got much needed information on other occasions but I am really stuck this time. I am filling out my DS-260 and where I have to fill out my address details, it ask for any other address(es) where I may have lived afer I turn 16, I have lived in Australia for almost 5 yrs so logically I should just go ahead and fill out the address(es) in Australia. Now here's the twist my wife (petetioner) or her lawyer I should say, while filling out my USCIS (I130) application completely skiped the part that I lived overseas. So USCIS had no info that I lived in Australia. Now when I submit my DS-260 , would I get a checklist of some sort or would there be any sort of complications at the interview, as they might see it as we tried to withold the info. Is there any hope or am I completely doomed. Thanks in advance

Hi, question! (To you or anyone else, but I think you mentioned this before?) -- About the "new" cover sheet that NVC is sending, the one where you have a list with all the documents needed and you can mark enclosed/not available/etc. When did you receive it? Welcome email? Because I don't have it.

I got my welcome email (we have a lawyer so it's the email addressed to attorneys, I don't know if that's what makes the difference)... but it's not there. I have paid my AOS and IV fees and submitted the DS-260 so it's time to send the packages now, but I don't think I have that cover page with the document list. I have the individual barcode cover pages that you get when you pay AOS and IV.

I don't know if it helps but I got the "cover sheet" in the welcome letter and the aos invoice, but not in IV invoice.

Hello,

We have a joint sponsor who filed taxes jointly with his wife. Our joint sponsor is filing I864. Should his wife fill up I864A?

As they both filed jointly the total income amount will be same in both forms, right?

About the total income in the forms, someone said line 22 for I864 for questions 13 a to 13 c in case of type 1040.

Our joint sponsor have form 1040. But I am confused about this line 22. I am attaching a screenshot of tax transcript from 2013. Line 22 is blank. But there is a total income portion. Should I put that amount in both of my forms?

Another doubt;

In part 6 question 5 current individual income for joint sponsor will be : His income+his wife's income - his wife's income ?

Part 6a will have his wife's name and the current income will be of his wife's current income ?

Is there any need to provide proof of current income for both of them?

. Qbanita what was your scan date??

my scan date was 8/8 for both aos and iv, I got a checklist for the aos only and it shows two errors that my attorney made first one is

Part 3 Item 7 -- Enter the total of Immigrants you are sponsoring .. She left this blank

2nd part and the one I'm still confuse about..

Part 6 Item 13 a.1 and it says exactly this

"The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead."

what is the total amount that need to go in that form? My attorney say she fixed it but I just don't know anymore.. I had file with w-2 and 1040 form only in 2013 ....

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!
