60 days processing period is sucks....even though they are saying they are working on it reduce....Yah...!!! its been 8 months or so saying same bullshit....

Shibo, I wonder why it took them so long to process yours... Was yours checklisted?? I thought they were taking less time to review the checklists.. Prayers up for all of us. I hope this will soon come to an end

Hello,

I have a question about the I-864 form. We will have a joint sponsor who is retired but also works occasionally. On his I-864 under Part 6, should we only Check part 3 and include the position he retired from, or should we also include part 1 which is where he is currently employed? He has enough retired income to support us, so we would put both only if it necessary to do so. Thank you all very much!

Hey jcruz! Did you receive a 60-day wait letter? I received two, both at 7am, one on Saturday (yeah) and one on Monday (today). The letters are identical except for the date (I'm assuming one for each package, even though we sent them both together). If you got it, what day did they say they received your docs? Because by calling we found out the scan date was the 24th, but the letter states

I don't think this matters at all, but I was curious. :)

Yes, I received the 60 day letter on 10/24/14 and it stated that my documents were received on 10/21/14 (that was the day they were delivered). When I called NVC, they said the docs were placed in their system on 10/23/14. I am going with 10/23/14 instead since it makes more sense to me that they would take a bit longer to put the docs in the system lol

We got ours as well stating that they received it on the 23rd of Oct. The e-mail was sent on the 27th of October so I'm sort of assuming that my scan date is the 27th. Wondering if I should just call them tomorrow and check and see. I'm not waiting on the line tonight.

I would call...because the email can sometimes be wrong.

Have either of you seen a post regarding a math calculation to determine the date of your CC? I saw it on this thread and did it just for fun. If it's true, it would be awesome. My date range fell in between November 18-25 for a CC (based on math calculation). That would mean a January interview which would be great! BUT as the cautious person I am, in my head I'll stick with December CC and secretly hope for November instead ha-ha :)

We have the same scan date.

My guess is that we would get case complete by Nov 27. One can dream though!

Nov. 27 is Thanksgiving but maybe on the 26th!! you're pretty close already though! Hopefully they have finally started September dates.

Hello my fellow and experienced NVCers!!!

I hope everyone is well and surviving the wait!

There may or may not be an issue with my case. I thought that i could pay the AOS and IV fees one at a time. But after I paid the AOS, the IV fee says 'PAY NOW' but when I click it doesn't let me 'SELECT' to pay.

Now that NVC has changed their process, does anyone know if we still have to wait 30 days for the IV fee to be available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

~ Sofi

Mine did the same thing and I couldn't "select" it to pay IV fee. If you look at my signature, my IV fee was available a few days after I paid AOS. What happens is that you pay AOS and then they still have to review and approve your DS-261. After they approve DS-261, they unlock the IV fee and you are able to pay right away. I was told that my IV fee would open 20 business days after I submitted the DS-261. It actually opened a little before that. You no longer have to wait the 30 days. Look at my signature for more specific dates.

Hang in there, it will open shortly.

I called and spoke to Olivia and got an official CC, also with a scan date of either August 29 or Sept 2 (have heard both) and also with a case complete on Saturday Oct 25. I do not think they work Saturdays, but I do think the system updates whenever it updates and that's the date that it's "complete."

So I still don't understand the scheduling interview part. Doesn't it depend on the embassy? So does NVC only call them to schedule at those times? I read the first page of the interview thread, I just think it's crazy. I guess I'm not surprised though, since this is the NVC.

msc13, Samreen and dear sweet Soloenta, all of my thoughts and positive energy are going towards you guys to be done with this BS as soon as possible.

hey im also waiting for cc my scan date is aug 29 , did your aos change to n/a ?
