Okay people! I have finally got a mathematical solution which will help you predict with 60%-63% confidence a rough date, + or - 6.36 days, for when you will get a Case Complete based on your IV scan date. I have used Saylin's data to work this out. I hope it helps you. I did a similar calculation when I was waiting for approval from USCIS and was spot on with my NOA2!

1. Convert your IV scan date into a day number of the year (eg: 24 July 2014 = 267th day)

2. Multiply the day by 0.6998 (eg: 267 x 0.6998 = 186.85)

3. Add 116.19 to the result from Step 2 (eg: 186.85 + 116.19 = 303.04)

4. Now add 6.36 to your result from Step 3 (eg: 6.36 + 303.04 = 309.40)

5. Now subtract 6.36 from your result at Step 3 (eg: 303.04 - 6.36 = 296.68)

6. Convert the result from Step 4 back into a date (eg: 309.40 is 5th/6th November 2014)

7. Convert the result from Step 5 back into a date (eg 296.68 is 23rd/24th October 2014)

8. The date range for your Case Complete is these two sets of dates at Step 6 and 7.

Maths is awesome for helping to work these things out. At the least, it may give some people a bit of hope in knowing roughly when to expect CC to happen. I think it is fun working out this type of stuff!

:-)

The date range that I got was the 17 October - 29 October im posting this on the 25th October

Ours was september 08(sent both packets together) so I guess October 12 to october 25. I probably should hear tomorrow if the formula works but I see very less chance looking at how they stuck in august and randomly approving september filers.

Its so annoying and disappointing  . I actually stopped looking at this thread and facebook group for 2/3 days!!! Im actually happy for the random approval in september but it gets so frustrating when you have to keep waiting. I was supposed to get a call back from NVC on frday but guess what they never called. I called late friday night and they were like it takes more than 24 hours! Seriously :ranting: bunch of lies...

its so hard to stop looking at threads and post I just cant wait...granted I have not been waiting as long as everyone else but the fact is that seeing where everyone is at the process helps, but at the same time it makes you sad because some people get approved before others. Sometimes I wonder ..............

Nvc take forever and does y understsnd how families are separated. And problems that can happen long distance. It's not easy almost one year married and nothing and I don't know how much more I can take. You pay for everything and they still take long it's not fair. Sorry just venting

I know I find myself checking these religiously. My OH was just over for a visit and left today. I feel sad for my three young children who are separated from their dad. I just hope this process ends as quickly as possible! Though judging by my dates we always seem to be slightly slower than average. Sending good thoughts to everyone for speedy approvals.

Sounds like we are about the same. My husband went back to US last September while I stayed here with our two children, ages 13 and 15 to apply for Visa. Kids both US citizens. Had no idea it would be this long. We have all been together twice in a year. Hopefully we will get a CC this week and a December interview and be back in US by Christmas. I had a Green Card before but it expired whilst we were all living down here in Australia.

How far are you off from the end?

Stay strong.

I am sorry to hear you are in the same position! Our last scan date (for AOS checklist) was Sept 8. If the 60days is accurate we will get CC sometime in the next two weeks. We are also hoping for interview before Xmas and one way plane ticket shortly after! I had to move to re establish domicile and I wanted my eldest to start school with her peers. I find myself constantly questioning the logic of this when I see the strain on them. But it had to be done. Thank you for responding- I feel really alone right now. It is hard to be positive for them all the time.

The formula will on work at roughly 60-63% or 70% accuracy depending on whether you used the 1st or 2nd equation respectively. Add another week onto it and give yourself a range of dates up to Nov 1st :-)

You're not alone. I feel the same here. People are so fed up they have even stopped asking me when I am leaving now. You aren't very far behind me. I have an IV checklist for a Singapore Police Certificate scanned on 29th Aug. I SO thought I would get a CC last week so now I am just hoping I will get it in the next couple of days so that I can get the December interview. I will keep watching for you. Xx

You need to calculate the day so it is a number out of 265 days in the year. eg: january 1st is day 1 and december 31st is day 365.

Teddy B, give me your IV Scan date and I will figure it out for you :)

Please figure mine out. AOS scan date Sept 15 and IV scan date Oct 22

6. Convert the result from Step 4 back into a date (eg: 309.40 is 5th/6th November 2014)

The equations are only accurate up to I think 70% in the last equation, so there is still a 30% error in the calculation. And that is only 95% confident! So the margin of error in the prediction, I feel, is quite large. You never know how the date could change due to the process at the NVC. Consider the prediction as a bit of fun :-) PS: I would take it up to Nov 9th just to be sure.

I was thinking the same also I would take it to Mid-November. And on top of that I got a check list for my AOS; which if everything goes ok should be Mid-December. ^^
