Sorry to hear about your checklist.

You are correct, if form 1040 or 1040A was filed, you use Total Income (not adjusted gross income)

For 2013, that is Line 22 on the 1040, or Line 15 on the 1040A

If it was form 1040EZ, you use Adjust Gross Income (Line 4)

Typically when the wrong income number is in the box, the Checklist will say error in 13.a.1

If it is a problem with the wrong income in the box it will say:

"The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead."

You mention only 13.a

What is the description of the error?

It says exactly what you just quoted :(

does anyone knows if the ceac website updates just once a day or several times a day.. I can't help myself and I keep checking every hour or so waiting to hopefully change to n/a

My case was completed over the phone by a supervisor and I got online as soon as I hung up and it changed instantly. However, there have been people with CCs that never changed to N/A, so NVC is just messing with us I am sure!

Hey Sailyn, did I mess up my CC input on the spreadsheet? I had updated it right after I found out I got CC on Monday, or have you been busy? Just worried I did it wrong this time.

If you look at the response sheet, you'll realize you're not the only one still waiting. I've been extremely busy this week and will continue to be for the next week or two. My personal loan application got denied, so I'm trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to afford some stuff, and I've been stressing about what's going on in my personal life, so when I get home I have no desire to do much. Sorry. I'll try to get around to updating the spreadsheet when I can, but it might be awhile :(

Hi guys, I have a question for all of you. It hink I'm in the right thread now... hehehe

So... I originally sent both packages together, Scan date of Aug 13th. BUT. Since my police certificate was going to expire on Sep 29th... I resent the police certificate and I got an email that they received that document on Sept 22nd. which means that by the time the 2nd police certificate arrives to the 60 days deadline it'll be expired again.

I wonder if I can get NVC to overlook the 2nd police certificate and close my case based on the 1st set of papers?.... and allow me to bring a current police certificate to the interview(even though I've been reading that for mexico a police certificate is not mandatory) My 60 days are coming up for the 1st packet and I really hope that they can get me a case complete ASAP. instead of waiting until november since... well... as I mentioned before... the police certificate will be expired by then... yet again...

Feedback appreciated :)
