Logged in to pay IV fee saw the change of location to Kingston. IV fee was n/a and DS-260 incomplete. I completed the DS-260 and called NVC and was told that my Expedite was approved on 10/23/2014, case left NVC today.

Alright...caught up on what felt like 200 pages of updates. Sorry I can't congrats to each one of you that have gotten CC's so far...but CONGRAATS! Sorry my post might be a bit long...

Of course! I plan to keep following the NVC thread in order to be updated. If you get a CC before me, also let us know! Hopefully it takes less than 60 days but i am not planning on it so i won't be disappointed.

Cross fingers - I haven't even checked yet if they've received my package yet - I usually call on Mondays or Wednesdays my mid-afternoon time (when they first open) - I'm usually at a wait time of 10 mins but that's only because I can call at exactly 7am when they open.

i hope this will help to avoid AOS checklist and speed our process :guides:

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

I must admit that form was a true true blessing for me. It is a WALK THROUGH of the I-864 and after the 4th time reviewing my AOS and re-doing it, I found this gem and without it would have had at least 3 areas of problems (and found out that I didn't have to file an I-864A!!)

On part 4 for the AOS it asks for the petitioners residence. My case is a little complex because my job, house, banks, life is in the USA. But I have been out of the USA for a littler over a year now so I could be with my husband during this long process... Italy has this documentation for spouses that is a permit to stay- it isn't a visa. So I am legally here because of that documentation...Should I put down my principal residence in USA or address where I am living Italy for the residence?

I'm a resident in Switzerland - I have a domicile in the US - I also had a cover letter explaining my bank accounts, credit cards and the such that shows that I am still maintaining a domicile in the US but rather not living there. I'm still in the process so can't confirm, but I've been out of the country for nearly 10 years now so kind of hard to prove that I was residing there <_<

Hey, looks like for various reasons we still have the same timeline. :) My packages are going to be delivered today. Looking forward to seeing more updates from you!

Keep me in the loop too - I'm right around you as well and would really like to keep track of everyone!! Good Luck!

I called NVC yesterday after 7… after 20 tries got it … was on hold for 35 minutes.. Initially I was really scared because thought they lost my documents… these AOS reviewers sometimes separates the IV documents.. since handling 1,000’s of cases they might get lost in transit to another unit..

The rep checked my case… AOS is approved and DS-260 is fine… but few notes from case reviewer that’s why it landed in check list…

Marriage Certificate – Reviewer notes it’s a duplicate.. Need Original one… My marriage certificate from India is in black and white... with original color signature and blue seal of the county. They use low quality paper not like US certificates… Also India has two kinds of Marriage certificates… one for special marriage act in color stamp duty paper but without photographs.. and another one for marriage registered after religious ceremony black and white with copy of your photographs .. and the format is different for each state… I told them I send the original with AOS… it is the original and if I go to get another certified copy you will get the same black and white with original seal and signature because thats the format they use from 2011.

Applicant Birth Certificate – Reviewer noted inappropriate … Actually she was born in 90 and certificate was obtained in 99… state government implemented computer records for this birth and death certificates in the mid 2000’s… before that they type or write with pen on a color stamp Duty paper with seal and signatures… She was one of the few who had her certificates from 90's. I think after mid 2000’s they introduced a new format.. now most with people without original certificates can obtain the new one.. this is also printed on a color stamp duty paper… I mention the original was send with AOS

PCC- Missing… I already submitted 2 PCC’s (Passport Office, District police office). District police report only needed for immigration to middle east countries..

The rep name was Jack.. he said he doesn’t know which documents they reviewed… but He will putting a request for supervisor review…He said time frame depends on sup workload… but told me to call back after a week.. I didn’t get much energy to explain because I was distracted after hearing this.. I will call back again discuss the case status… The certificates are genuine…also in English… and I know few who already immigrated this year with these certificates.. I believe it depends on some reviewers or he/she reviewed something else L ….

My spouse will get another copy of Marriage certificate and birth certificate in new format… but it will take 1-7 days plus mailing and reviewing time… I wish to get CC in October … I am believing for a miracle…

I have to give props for this message - I love to see detailed explanation of when and how they got a checklist and what the result was. Props for taking the time to write out what was going on and all the info

Oh second thing: We still haven't filled out our DS-260 yet - is that a problem? My husband is back tracking all of his address and records and we thought that this was only for the interview time...We'll file online immediately but this won't slow down the process?

Yeah, for the first three items I mentioned (payments, DS-261, DS-260), I've noticed that if the AOS and IV packages aren't received (when they get to those three items), then a false checklist is issued sometimes. Not in all cases, mind you. But I've seen it happen. So, I'm betting that's what happened in this case since according to your signature, you sent the DS-260 at the beginning of the month.

You were totally right. My wife called NVC just now and they said it was a false checklist generated because they reviewed the DS-260. It was confusing I guess because this happened exactly on my scan date (they confirmed they received my packages today - I had called yesterday night and they hadn't "received"/scanned them).

For the record, my wife (the USC) was also told that they were "reviewing your packages now", which... yeah, I don't really believe at all. But they didn't tell her anything about the 60 day or 30 day wait. <_<

Hello Everyone,

I have question regarding Vaccinations:

In DS-260 form I have clearly mentioned that I have few vaccination records available and rest of them I will get it done before Interview. Now I have a schedule appointment tomorrow in the hospital to get my vaccinations done but its going to cost me couple of hundred dollars.

I'm curious to know if I should get this done privately or wait until my medical is requested from Embassy? If I wait for Embassy request will all the vaccinations covered in that cost?

Below are the one's marked in RED I have no record for it. Please Help to answer my question.

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza
  • Influenza type b (Hib)
  • Measles
  • Meningococcal
  • Mumps
  • Pneumococcal
  • Pertussis
  • Polio
  • Rotavirus
  • Rubella
  • Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
  • Varicella

I'm so confused our case was expedited and I only paid the AOS packet online and never sent in the packet. Now I get a letter to make an appointment yet the IV bill isn't available and so the the DS-260 isn't either? I called the consulate they said I have to pay 325 for the bill I'm not sure if it's the IV bill or the bill you get after your visa is approved? and pay for it there?

$325 is the cost of IV (Immigrant Visa). If your case was expedited & shipped out already, more than likely you will have to pay this fee at the consulate. This is my understanding though, hopefully someone else also gives their understanding of this.

After your interview is approved and before your POE, you should pay the $165 ELIS fee with USCIS so your green card is issued. It's usually preferred by USCIS that you pay before you enter the USA. Here is their website: http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis

I probably should have specified, but *FALSE checklists, based on them receiving those things (and on reviewing the AOS and IV packages). I've never actually seen a real checklist for the DS-260.

I'm going to go edit my post to clarify

I got a real / false checklist 7/29 for the 261, which was completed 6/11, stating I needed to fill out the form. The checklist was false but in their system as real. Even though the operator when I called could see the 261 was completed, it took 6 weeks to clear it up.

If you read the wiki, I have a medical section. In there, I provide a link to what vaccines are required for the medical. And if you're over 18 and under 64, there's only a handful needed.
