Hi Qbanita,

Sorry to hear that. I want to know which question did your attorney left blank. I also have attorney for my case. My scan date is 29th August. So i want to know.

Thanks in advance.

It was in part 3- question 7.... How many immigrants you are sponsoring... There was no reason for her to leave that blank other than not paying attention. Good luck!!

That's sad Qbanita, post your checklist here so others can help you determine what it is asking and what corrections need to be made. Lawyer helped my case by bypassing the DS261 and saved me one month, but he made some mistakes on I-864 and thanks to this forum I caught them.

I came home last night and found the errors nvc was talking about. It was two errors on I-864 in part 3 question 7 she completely left it blank and then question 13.a as to total income she has the total amount, not the gross adjusted amount. But I'm a little confuse about that one cause I though it the 1040 you only enter the total not the gross.

Apart from the USCIS wait time, we have a similar NVC timeline huh!?

I'm going for my "wedding party" in two weeks! Explanation: we had our wedding set down as a destination wedding in Tasmania on the 18th of October. When we realised how long the visa process was going to take, we had a small "signing / legal" ceremony in June but everyone had already booked their flights & accom for Tasmania so we turned it into a "wedding party" down there :) Pretty excited, this is where I get to wear the pretty dress. I love being already married, takes soo much pressure off!

Aww, how sweet. Have lots of fun!

I had the same thing, hubby and I just signed papers - waiting on him to get to the states to finally have a nice wedding!

2nd NVC Thread

AOS and IV PAID

Both Packages sent together and received notice they were received.

DS260 will be completed 10.2

Good luck everyone!

Hi, question! (To you or anyone else, but I think you mentioned this before?) -- About the "new" cover sheet that NVC is sending, the one where you have a list with all the documents needed and you can mark enclosed/not available/etc. When did you receive it? Welcome email? Because I don't have it.

I got my welcome email (we have a lawyer so it's the email addressed to attorneys, I don't know if that's what makes the difference)... but it's not there. I have paid my AOS and IV fees and submitted the DS-260 so it's time to send the packages now, but I don't think I have that cover page with the document list. I have the individual barcode cover pages that you get when you pay AOS and IV.

CR-1 (Argentina): April 2014 to March 2015.

Sorry to hear about your checklist.

You are correct, if form 1040 or 1040A was filed, you use Total Income (not adjusted gross income)

For 2013, that is Line 22 on the 1040, or Line 15 on the 1040A

If it was form 1040EZ, you use Adjust Gross Income (Line 4)

Typically when the wrong income number is in the box, the Checklist will say error in 13.a.1

If it is a problem with the wrong income in the box it will say:

"The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead."

You mention only 13.a

What is the description of the error?
