Petitioner: I-864

Main joint sponsor: I-864

Joint sponsor's spouse: I-864A

Both parents shouldn't have done an I-864 (unless they're divorced and not living with one another). So, in your case, have the one that earns the most to file an I-864, then have the other file an I-864A.

Thanks Saylin! Sending checklist package today then.

Yes... I recommed you to send Copy of AOS with Documents to DR (direct Review) .... I think DR unit is the final phase for cases with insufficient documents.

If you are sure that it is a mistake, I will advise to go ahead and send it ASAP. However, be prepared that the last scan date will be reset to whenever they receive the last document from your side. If you wait for a checklist, you will have to wait for sixty days from your response to the checklist.

I got my cc yesterday too!!! we might get interview the same DAY...

I'm not sure about the consulate in Guatemala. With our case completed today, we hope to receive a December interview date. I will keep you updated once we receive a date.

I would suggest asking 2-3 NVC reps this question. If they agree on the answer, it is the correct one. My $0.02 is this: Have they reviewed your IV documents? If not, then I would think that they have not yet reached your documents sent on Sep 17 and 26th. If they have reviewed the IV documents, then I would think that maybe you need to answer the checklist. But all this is guesswork. Ask 2-3 reps and see what they say.

I just got off the phone with the NVC and the Panamanian embassy approved the expedite request from my Senator (Manchin)! Woohoo!

I'm sure someone will ask on what grounds was my expedite request. I can honestly say that I don't know--I didn't even ask my Senator to push for an expedited case. I just asked his office to get a Supervisor to review my AOS packet (I was checklisted on I864EZ--they said I put the wrong number but I have a photocopy and I did NOT put the wrong number.)

USCIS
01-25-2014: Filed I-130
01-30-2014: NOA1, Sent to Vermont Service Center

NVC

08-13-2014: AOS package scanned by NVC
09-06-2014: DS-261 accepted
09-10-2014: IV fee invoiced/paid
09-13-2014: DS-260 completed
10-02-2014: BOTH AOS packages reviewed and accepted together (no checklist! woohoo!) NEVERMIND. HE LIED. SEE BELOW.
10-02-2014: IV package sent (it took an extra month because DHL/Customs lost my husband's birth certificate and police records in September)
10-06-2014: IV package arrived at NVC (you know, because overnight with USPS means four days later)
10-08-2014: IV package scanned by NVC
10-09-2014: Received checklist for AOS packet saying I put the wrong income number. They are wrong. Awaiting review from Supervisor Mari.
10-16-2014: My Senator's office requested an expedite review of our case. This request was submitted by the NVC to the U.S. Embassy on this date.
