Less than three months--I would say that is pretty fast (or depending on your local office, that might be average, but definitely not slow!). 12/13/18: File online application

12/15/18: Receive notification for biometrics appointment (no date)

12/31/18: Biometrics

02/25/19: Receive interview letter (April 8 )

04/08/19: Interview, approved!

04/12/19: Oath scheduled for April 26 

04/26/19: Oath Ceremony! 🇺🇸

 

ROC:

04/26/17:  Sent ROC package

04/27/17:  Package received

05/20/17:  Biometrics letter received

06/02/17:  Biometrics

08/22/18:  Card being produced

 

AOS from F1 visa:

08/16/14: Sent AOS package: I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

08/19/14: Package received at Chicago Lockbox

08/22/14: Acceptance confirmation text messages/emails

08/22/14: Checks cashed

08/26/14: Hard copies of NOA's received in mail

08/27/14: Biometrics appointment notice received. Scheduled for 9/8/14.

I submitted my AOS package on August 19th.... got the biometrics done on September 19th, and I just checked online and I have an interview scheduled for October 30th...

Is that fast, average or slow?

Also, can I still get a RFE once the interview is already scheduled?

I filed in May and still no interview.So yes u r lucky.Its very fast.You can get RFE at interview,but not likely

I filed August 1st and we have our interview on October 16th. So things seem to be going well. :yes:

So fast! There is another member on the August filer AOS (from Work/Student/Tourist visas) thread from the Houston office that already has his interview. I've also seen others on older filer threads whose local office is Houston, and they also flew through the process.

Naturalization:

12/13/18: File online application

12/15/18: Receive notification for biometrics appointment (no date)

12/31/18: Biometrics

02/25/19: Receive interview letter (April 8 )

04/08/19: Interview, approved!

04/12/19: Oath scheduled for April 26 

04/26/19: Oath Ceremony! 🇺🇸

 

ROC:

04/26/17:  Sent ROC package

04/27/17:  Package received

05/20/17:  Biometrics letter received

06/02/17:  Biometrics

You can still get an RFE even at the interview, so I would say it is possible at any point while they are still reviewing your documents. :time: so that you can get more accurate answers when you have a question about your case :)

I would agree with Pickle. Anything is possible until you get that "approval". I haven't gotten any RFE's (knock on wood) so far.

7/18/2016 (Day 28) - Biometrics appointment done at Santa Ana ASC

2/28/2017 (Day 254) - Spouse received call from immigration officer verifying if we still lived together at our current address. He ended the conversation by saying we our approved and no need for interview

3/3/2017 (Day 257) - Received approval letter in the mail! 

3/13/2017 (Day 267) - Online status updated - new card being produced

3/16/2017 (Day 270) - Online status updated - new card was mailed to me

3/20/2017 (Day 274) - 10 year green card on hand!!

8/10/2017 - Case is in line for interview

1/22/2018 - N-400 interview date scheduled 

1/26/2018 - Received N-400 interview letter in the mail! Interview scheduled on Feb. 28 

2/28/2018 - Naturalization interview - recommended for approval! :)

3/20/2018 - Oath taking ceremony :dance:
