Other denials affect k1?! (merged)

I have Been denied a student visa twice this summer (lack of ties to home country) my boyfriend proposed and we have now filed for the k1 visa. Got our NOA1 yesterday and are very excited, people have told me that I should not worry about my past visa denials. True or not?

Also if I decide to apply for the esta and gets denied (wich I'm assuming cause of my previous denials) will this have any impact of our k1 visa?!

I'm just so scared we wait so long and then gets denied because of the other denials!

Ideas?!

Previous denials do not affect a K-1. Relax, you are fine.

Your previous visas were denied due to lack of ties to home country.

You're now applying for a visa to live in a new country so lack of ties to the old one means nothing.

If you're previous denials had been for anything else it would be different but lack of ties doesn't apply to you any more.

I used to be an au pair and and was going to be sponsorer first by tjat family and then second time I was going to pay myself, however they asked both times if I was going to work for the family and I feel like this is why they denied me but since they didn't have evidence they have me the "lack of ties" resin instead to deny me.

Does this change anything?

I was not going to work and said that both times

from 2012-2014 I was an au pair and came back to my home country in the hopes to get a student visa and travel back to the USA after the summer.

I was denied - (my hostfamily was going to sponsor me) tried again and this time had a student loan wich is a very common thing to do for swedes. Anyway, school was close to where I used to au pair and both times my consulate asked if I was going to work and I of course said no and gave them tons of information saying the family didn't need me and so on - I was denied both times and I feel like they denied me because they thought I was going to work but since they didn't have any evidence they denied me for "lack of ties to home country"

People tell me I don't need to worry but I just can't get away with the thought that this in somehow could have any kind of impact on my k1 visa..

Will they most likely ask about the student visas under my k1 interview or probably just leave those cases alone?

Did they ask you at the k1 interview about it?

They may ask about any manner of things at the interview, review the VJ K1 sample interview questions for examples. I believe that you will be asked about your prior visas and outcomes on DS-160. That application will be necessary for the embassy/consulate interview portion of the visa application process.

You will likely be asked about them, but all you need to do is to tell the truth. As long as you do not try to hide them or lie about them, they should not affect your ability to get the K-1.

I have heard, however, that information put on your denied visa applications can be asked about during the interivew to check for conistencies.

Click the embassy reviews: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/

Choose your consulate, click FIND ENTRIES, then when it refreshes, in the TOPIC dropdown menu, select K-1. This will give you a list of all the reviews others have made about their interview process. Some of those will have questions that were asked.
