NOA1 not recieved yet should we worry?

Just a quick msg to say we mailed our k1 app on 27 feb and we still havent received the NOA1 from nebraska, David received the certified mail thingy to say it was signed for but we havent received anything... am I just worrying for nothing? could they have misplaced our file? is there an email address at nebraska we can email to find out? I noticed the other couple who filed at the same time got their NOA!

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

MAY 2007:RESUMED THE VISA APPLICATION

6 June 2007: Medical @ 2.30pm - need to get anew GP letter and psychiatric evaluation

7 June 2007: INTERVIEW @ 10am - waiting for new police record letter

3 July 2007: APPROVED/Visa arrives

We never received our NOA1 until the day we received our NOA2. lol

Have some patience. It may take up to 30 days after filing the petition to receive a notice.

You guys sent it on 2/27 but when was it received at NSC physically? This has a little something to do with it. It has been about 10 days since it was mailed, I would not be to worry yet.

well it was a money order so i dont know if they can tell if they put the case number on back of that.

umm 30 days to get a notice?? i thought that was for the NOA2 I understood the NOA1 we should get within a week or 2.

umm 30 days to get a notice?? i thought that was for the NOA2 I understood the NOA1 we should get within a week or 2.

It took us almost two months to get our NOA1 from

Nebraska. My advice: pretend like you haven't

applied for a K1. The better you get at ignoring the

whole thing, the faster time will fly. You'll only drive

yourself nuts worrying about this stuff otherwise...

I-751 - Removal of Conditions

05-01-2009 - I-751 Packet Mailed to CSC via USPS Express Mail

05-02-2009 - USPS tried to deliver. Nobody home@CSC. PS Form 3849 left for CSC to reschedule delivery.

05-04-2009 - I-751 Delivered to CSC@6:28am. Signed for by "V SEMEGI".

05-04-2009 - NOA1 Receipt Date. Same day as delivery - Wow!

05-14-2009 - Check cashed

05-16-2009 - Conditional Green Card expires

05-18-2009 - NOA1 Arrives in the mail

I sent you an email! Our check was cashed on the Friday and we received our NOA1 on the Monday - If your check was cashed I would give it some time then call to make sure something in the mail wasn't mishandled.

I thought she said she used a money order, so they wouldn't have notification of it being cashed.

There have been cases where people didn't even receive their NOA1, sometimes things get lost in the mail. Since you only sent it on Feb 27th, that is only 8 working days (assuming it arrived to them on Feb 27th). So, you are still well within a normal timeframe of getting your NOA1.

Ok, I see you only mailed it on the 27th, so the earliest it probably would have gotten there is the 1st of March (they usually don't pick up packages the day they arrive, a notice is left with the service center and they go to collect all of the packages the next day wayyyy early in the morning). So, that's only a few working days that it's been there.

Thank you all for your comments and as usual I was worrying about nothing - Dave took the day off today and his mail didnt arrive when we spoke earlier. I went down to lie down and just got back and he left me a message, he got his mail in the post and guess what?? The NOA! arrived :) Im just talking to him now in voice chat and he says I worried for no reason - yes i did and I know but damn I cant stop worrying!!! I wish I could just forget that we ever applied it would make things easy but I cant, I am sooo excited, lets just hope the rest of the journey is smooth sailing :) Thank you all for trying to make me at ease:)

I think this is our most common worry. Not hearing anything the k-1 is a long process, and it is nerve wracking.

Patience, and Endurance is a must!!!!!

I don't know what to suggest but when I was going through all this I just tried to keep busy and hope for the best although most of the time I was trying to keep from cracking up.

We sent our package on March3rd.... let's see if we'll get our NOA2 around the same time (which I doubt since they don't do anything in order there!)

Oh and we still haven't gotten our NOA1....... I'll just wait, wait, wait..... hope it's not lost somewhere! :no:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!
