My daughter is set on being home for Christmas... though i'm sure she'll be happy if we have to have 2 Christmas days.

I know that some of you have suggested calling back and trying to speak to another supervisor but, honestly I am just so washed out with it. I am going to sit tight and just wait a couple of weeks for the CC. I cannot stand to hear that they can't do anything again and I don't want to aggravate them anymore. Heaven knows they might put my last phone call down as a scanned piece of mail!!!!

You may get a CC in two weeks so you can sit tight for now. :star:

I know Saylin suggests that we call NVC often, but I avoided calling NVC unless I had to.

TODAY IS THE BIG DAY: INTERVIEW - HUBBY IS AT THE EMBASSY NOW! GUESS WHAT - I started my new job yesterday , so I ant call off!!!ITS GOING TO BE A LONG MORNING.

Double celebration!

I was hoping for cc and got f**** checklist even though I had attorney he made mistake so mad at myself crying feel helpless another 60 days again?????

It may be a false checklist.

You can copy and paste your checklist on here so someone can tell if it's a false checklist or actual checklist.

BTW, your NOA1 is May, 2013!? :wow:

Yes Austin it happened to u at one stage but imagining happening this to some people at every fricking stage of this BS process. I mean not a single place we got lucky! First Uscis had that effed up backlog. 10.5 months waiting there. Then Nvc decided to go backlog exactly when we may June filers entered here. So instead of 2 months it's my 7th and msc 8th month here. Then while we started this they went from 2 weeks to 4 to 6 and now 8 weeks. And then like a cherry on top we got a checklist. I mean talk about torture. I hope nobody ever goes through what we went throu. I m sorry but msc's post just brought back all the 'lovely' memories that immigration process gave me.

I think 10% of filers get really lucky (expedite / auto-expedite), 80% of them get processed at an average speed, and the other 10% get really unlucky (delays, RFE, checklists, documents go missing, etc.).

However, the biggest factor is probably when you send your I-130 application.

I know this whole thing is insane a nightmare we can't wake up from. I just don't know what else to do at this point. Insha'Allah our prayers will be answered and yes AP scares me so much that even without the CC I fear it. It's past 5 am and again I haven't slept. :( I'll be praying for a nice Co and no AP , Insha'Allah .

You were still up at 5AM!? :wow: Playing video games or watching movies on Netflix? :content:

Mine is September 3rd. Now i'm wishing I had paid extra for faster shipping!! haha. I took the gamble of sending both packages at the same time as that is what many reps were saying to do. We will see if it pays off, I guess.

I am so hoping that they review yours in time for a December interview. I'm sure they will. It annoys me. I would be happy to wait a little longer on the initial send and have checklists reviewed quicker.

Thankyou robisons. I hope so too. And yes it makes sense to review checklists faster but that would be too much sense for nonsense Nvc. I m just hoping they make space for me in December in my Nvc and that there is a second round of scheduling. InshAllah!

No interview date yet ... Getting mixed feeling of excitement and anxiety . Some many things to be done like packing things up giving stuff away , get my bay cat ready to travel and get his doc in order. ..etc but not having an actual date still makes me feel like it's unreal and that in not going to move out of my lovely family house that I have lived in for 25 years , and saying goodbye to family and best friends that I see every day ever since we were little babies :( bitter sweet . Starting a whole new life in a new place ... Talk about being way out of my element !

But it looks as thought you're moving to Chicago? Chicago is wonderful. It was my home for a few years (well, Chicago and the suburbs). I miss it so much.

Moving is difficult, especially away from family and friends. Those family and friends always be there though and we are so lucky to live at a time when we can call anywhere in the world at any time. I found it quite an adjustment when I first moved to the US but I soon made really good friends there. I agree though, I sometimes wish the US and UK would just merge together and eliminate the ocean in between
