I'm afraid NVC doesn't work as fast as your OCD.:rofl::rofl:

They'll forward your file to your embassy/consulate after they schedule your interview date.

Our marriage certificate is also issued by King County in Seattle. :star:

If you got married in a courthouse, the judge gave you the original one (hand written that contains signatures of your two witnesses). :)

The Kind County office can also give you a certified copy. I sent NVC both the original one and a certified copy just in case.

Oh nice coincidence!!! Well it is supposed the original one must be enough. We didn't ask for a certified copy cause the original certificate has the original stamp and the original signatures. Besides, I'm in Madrid

and my husband in San Francisco. If we had asked for a certified copy it would have delayed everything even more. They should recognize oiginals easily. We have some of them with The Hague apostille to be valid in Spain, but this is not valid in the U.S. I hesitated about sending it with the apostille but I couldn't imagine the original wasn't

enough.

I chose to send both the original and certified copy because the original one looked too simple.

The certified copy contains more info such as my DOB, parents' info, social security number, etc. It also looks more "real". :o

So I decided to send both just in case they reject one of them.

You can contact the King County Marriage Licensing office to request a certified copy if necessary. I went there in person and they gave me a certified copy in 5 minutes. http://www.kingcounty.gov/courts/marriage/Licensecopies.aspx :star:

Your embassy/consulate provides NVC their available interview dates; then, NVC schedules an interview date for you this week or next week. :star:

I'd like to know how many calories you're burning by moving your fingers to check your visa status 500 times a day.:rofl::rofl:

House goes on the market this week! Photographer is coming tomorrow and it should be online by the end of the week. We won’t have our first open house until 8th November. Hoping to sell before Christmas and be ready to move in Jan/Feb.

It is nice here in Australia now, so I am going to soak up the lovely Spring weather and hopefully be ready to move before the all of the 40 degree Celsius/100 degree Fahrenheit days hit. I know Oly/Seattle weather is rainy, but I miss all of the GREEN!!! Can’t wait to get back to the Pacific Northwest!

Yeah we took 6 or 7 certified copies too at the county courthouse. It had a bar code with a serial number in the front right?

I think if your husband calls and speaks to a supervisor and lets them know it's the original and getting a new one wont make any difference should do it. Might take a week for them to get back to you but I have seen it work before. I'll be praying this works out in your favor. :)t4582.gif

Oh I can understand that, no worries just happy to see you post is all. :) OH yes I'm praying hard both Samreen and MSC get their CC's today I'll celebrate with RC or Pepsi hahahahaha. God willing this will happen before Friday. :Dt4582.gif

Hi everyone,

The tears have finally stopped falling, I have spoken and screamed at my husband in frustration and have now settled down. Am drinking a Coke Zero and will regale my horrific morning.

Dropped children to school, rushed back to call NVC and hopefully hear some good news.

Spoke to an operator and finally they put me through to a Supervisor - Ike. He was OK but there is nothing he can do.

My Singapore Police Certificate was scanned in on 29th August. I emailed NVC back in early August to see if I might take the Certificate to the Interview. I didn't hear back from them and so Andy and I decided we would Fed Ex it to NVC and get the clock ticking. They emailed me back on September 17th to say that my email had insufficient information. I had left off Andy's birth date. They then wrote to me on 24th September saying they received my documents of the 17th September which was, in fact, their email to me.

Turns out my last scan date is NOT August 29th but now September 17th. They opened up my file a few days ago but didn't look at the Police Certificate because they saw that there is another piece of mail waiting to be reviewed from September 17th even though it was their own email. Really!!!!!

I cried on the phone - it did not good. He went really quiet for a long period and I had to ask him if he was still there. There is NOTHING they will/can do. I just have to wait until they get to September 17th scan date.

Any idea anymore where they are up to. In reality it is only a couple of weeks away but looks like we will miss the December interview and home for Christmas.

I am dreading telling the children this afternoon that they won't be back with Dad for Christmas. I am SO sad for them.

I will be around a while longer. Looks like we are 'scan buddies' samreen although I think (and will be happy) you will get yours before me although I should only be a few days behind you.

If I get a January interview I will email the Sydney Consulate and see if they can bring it forward. That is the best I can hope for at this point.

Am numb - don't know what to say.

Love to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear about your case, I really hope you get your CC soon!

On another note, we had our IV scanned August 19th and AOS checklist scanned september 15th and got a CC just last week. I really think you will get it soon as they seem to be working *slighty" faster. Goodluck <3

Oh sweet heart, I'm so very sorry and my heart is breaking for you and the children, all I can say is thank God in heaven your not far off. Try your best to stay calm which I know well isn't easy. Think of it this way and tell the children that it will be the very last time and that it's totally out of both your hands. They will be sad but understand that this is the last time and to take advantage of giving lot's of kisses and hugs to family that will be left behind, grandparents etc.

I'll be praying all goes well.

I did call the Director of NVC left my name and phone number but he just had a supervisor from NVC call me. I must admit he was very nice must have been because the order came from the director. I posted the number here which was posted by another wonderful member, just in case your husband wants to try not sure it will work, National Visa Center, Phillip Slattery Director 603-334-0927

Love you dearly your all in my prayers and thoughts. t5063.gif

Really!!!!!
