I think you got it spot on smile44... I've been closely observing all CC's of late and there seems to be a clear trend with all these random September dates... Like you rightly said, I've noticed that almost all these Sept scan dates that have been worked on, also had a mid-late august scan date. I'm pretty sure NVC is reviewing packets together even for those few left out before the new policy of sending both packets together was announced. Technically NVC is still working on the last week of August.

People like me, samreen23 etc who have just a single checklist with Sep scan dates will have to wait until NVC completes the late Aug scan dates I guess. Just my 2 cents...

My checklist scan date is 8/29 so I'll keep you all posted. At 53 days now, so fingers crossed they'll get to yours faster :)

I also thought that pattern was true before but than i saw a few cc with one package of very early aug like 11 aug and other with sept. Also a few with only package of sept date. The other thread just reported a cc with scan date of 5th sept for a checklist. Maybe they are reviewing checklists faster who knows. Praying hard for this week to be my week!.

I hope this will be a good week for both of us!

Unfortunately, this visa journey has put a real dent in my research plans. Have to work extra hard to make up for lost time. Still, I won't be at ease until my VJ buddies are out of the woods.

I for one will miss you but will understand that it's just not the way it used to be. Many have said they would hang around but haven't and I don't blame them one bit.

Thank you, Solenta! You too!

Like the rest of us, I cannot take the NVC anymore! I just want them to ship my file to the embassy so I can get out of this black hole (I'm already securing original IV documents again because I'm sure they will never arrive at the embassy before my interview if the expedite is approved).

Supervisor Mari told me two weeks ago that she was going to review my documents personally and that I should call her back within a week. I've been trying to get in touch with her for a week now, but every single time I call she is 1) in a meeting, 2) on the phone, 3) not at her desk, or 4) not in the office for the day.

This is all just for her to review a form THAT I FILLED OUT CORRECTLY, but was checked-listed nonetheless.

Exactly what happened to me and I just find it way to convenient. But then no wonder nothing is reviewed they are never at their desk. (L)

Even if I don't post on this thread every day, I do read it all the time. I'm still waiting for you and everyone else here to get their long overdue CCs.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Just called, talked to Kendall. She could not answer why ppl who have applied in Feb or April 2014 have been approved before ppl who applied last year!! Said not to base my case on someone else's case. I continued to ask her more questions and she told me to hang on, put me on "hold" aka hung up on me!

She could not understand my frustration. Guess I need to call back...

Hi guys, I've been out of this thread and the whole visa issue because my dad suffered a heart attack last sat and since then my mind and time is to him and my mom. God's plan is bigger than ours and now I see why He put me here a little bit more: my mom needs me, my dad needs me, and that's the place I have to be right now. I hope you all figure one day the reason why Faith kept you a little longer away from your loved ones, and appreciate that this happened. I just don't know what I'd do if something like that happened to my dad with me in the US!

So, I'm sending all my love and positive vibrations to all of you. Congrats to the CCs, patience to the ones waiting. The RIGHT time is coming soon!

Sending you and your family my prayers and well wishes. (F)

So sorry to hear this. I hope he has a speedy recovery. The same thing happened to us, my husbands visa was delayed at NVC and during this time his mum had a heart attack. The universe works in mysterious ways and I believe he was meant to be here longer than he planned to take care of her.

Thank you for understanding my dear friend. It will take sometime before my system is free of VJ, though. I think I've checked ceac at least half a dozen times after I collected my visa packets, LOL.

Funny thing, when I told my co-researcher at CU-Boulder that I finally got the visa and will arrive by Wednesday, she said: "Wonderful news!! Can we meet on Tuesday at 1:00. I'll have all the grad students present progress reports to you." There Is a desperate team for some coaching.

They are our special guests in this world until the Lord calls them (or us) to His side. Speaking from experience, I'm really glad you were there for your parents. They tend to get emotionally vulnerable when they're hit hard at an advanced age. Medical procedures for such cases are highly advanced nowadays, so hopefully he'll be up and about in no time.
