Hi, I would appreciate your help..

I moved quickly regarding jobs search in the US and I already have a job offer.

My probable future company is gonna send me an employment letter, is this reason enough for an expedite? (I am the foreign citizen). I had thought to request an expedite of my case based on the employment offer due to financial hardship....Could it work? Do they ask for extra information on this? Thank you...

Thank you my fellow Coloradan.

By the way, Colorado has one of the silliest flags there is.

Now that they have legalized the green stuff, maybe they should "go green" and incorporate it somehow...

PS. I hope this post won't invalidate my IV. :wow:

Its legal in COLORADO so no worries!!!!!

This didn't work for me with the London Embassy, despite being granted an expedite by USCIS (I provided a letter from the company etc as proof). I also know another person with a job offer who was denied an expedite at London. Obviously your embassy might actually grant expedites for this kind of a reason but London confirmed that they are currently only allowing expedites for life or death emergencies.

Good luck. You may as well give it a shot.

Of course I will give it a shot.

Since I am at the final NVC steps (my last scan date is 9/11), maybe the Madrid Embassy accepts it.

Lets see.

One more bag to pack (or three, if my wife gets her way). Kids are attending their last day of school right now. We'll be crawling up the Rockies by early afternoon this Wednesday, if all goes as planned.

Now, don't you tarry too long at NVC. Call today and bring us some good news.

MoBar, you have been a wealth of information and encouragement over the many months I've followed several VJ treads. It is so good to read (finally) about your getting ready for the journey out west. So truly happy for you and your family! Have a safe trip!

Hi everyone,

I know Saylin says in her WiKi to write your case # on the top right corner of all docs submitted. Should I also write it on the I-864EZ form? Has anyone had any issues with this?

I am sending out both AOS & IV packages today. Since they are both going via Fedex (i am putting each pkg in a separate folder inside the FedEx envelope), which address do I send it to? I have the one for CMR AOS and CMR (for the IV) but since they are both going inside the same FedEx envelope, not sure which one I am supposed to use. Does it matter?

The shorter version: How often are expedite requests approved when they come from a member of Congress (Senator in this case)? Do they care as much about the reason for the expedite when the request comes from a Senator?

The longer version: I emailed my Senators last week asking them to intervene at the NVC because I've been checklisted for things that I am sure that I submitted in my packets (and was told it would take 42 days for a supervisor to review and then, of course, another 60 days for them to review it if it had to resubmit). Anyway, I heard back shortly from my Senator's office that they would look into it. Three days later when I was speaking to an NVC operator, she said that my expedite request was sent to the Panamanian Embassy last week, which I found crazy (and exciting) because I did not ask for an expedite request--just that they look at my file again to see that I filled out the form correctly.

This has me curious about whether the embassy will actually expedite my case because I didn't have a reason to expedite that is traditionally listed (rather, I thought I was just a good candidate for Supervisor Review). Anyway, my questions are these: How often are expedite requests approved when they come from a member of Congress (Senator in this case)? Do they care as much about the reason for the expedite when the request comes from a Senator?

I'm so sorry I have no idea but someone will be by soon to answer you or at least try. I do hope it does make a difference, God willing it will and you will get the expedite. I'll be praying it all turns out great for you and your loved one. :D(L)

Thank you, Solenta! You too!

Like the rest of us, I cannot take the NVC anymore! I just want them to ship my file to the embassy so I can get out of this black hole (I'm already securing original IV documents again because I'm sure they will never arrive at the embassy before my interview if the expedite is approved).

Supervisor Mari told me two weeks ago that she was going to review my documents personally and that I should call her back within a week. I've been trying to get in touch with her for a week now, but every single time I call she is 1) in a meeting, 2) on the phone, 3) not at her desk, or 4) not in the office for the day.

This is all just for her to review a form THAT I FILLED OUT CORRECTLY, but was checked-listed nonetheless.
