Nothing yet... not even a ceac status update acknowledging receipt of the document they requested. I'll email them next week for a status update and attach the document again. Before the CO left his desk to bring me my 221(g) letter, he did let slip that he needs to get my letters (in the plural) and be back shortly. So I'm gessing he fired up a background check on me (true AP). As if being constantly on one US visa or another since 1989 with never an incident, going successfully through two lengthy APs in the past, travelling to 3 or 4 conferences there every year with no overstays, and even being a TSA-Pre for two years now is not enough to vouch for my character. But.... whatever!

Thanks for asking dear friend.

Yes even the straight forward things sometimes seem like a puzzle for them. InshAllah you'll hear back soon.

Gaining 20 pounds!? :wow: I gained 5-10 pounds, but not because of the stress... I was eating too much food and not exercising enough!

Fortunately, the condo we're renting now has a gym and swimming pool in the building so I'm using them everyday. I think I've lost about 5 pounds in the last 2 months!

Wait...! I haven't stepped on the scale so I'm not 100% sure if I really lost any weight. There is a chance that I haven't lost any weight or maybe gained some? :bonk: I'm so afraid of stepping on the scale! :dead:

The last time I stepped on the scale, I was almost 190 lbs (I'm almost 6 feet... and I thought I was around 175 lbs). I almost passed out when I saw the number on the scale!

I was exaggerating a little ofcourse  it's more like 10-15 pounds or in between?

Yes I don't wanna weigh myself because I know I'll get even more depressed  it's all because I've become super antisocial and I don't wanna go out to hang out with friends...I've lost all interest in shopping too.

I think it's lack of physical activity that's causing all of this, I really need to get up and start being more active. All in due time I guess.

MY DEAREST, without whom I would have positively lost my mind.

I want YOU to be the first to know that my AOS fee changed to N/A. I have not received an email yet and will be calling NVC later in the day. I sure hope this is CC. My last scan date is 08/12 and I am positively out of patience, pregnant, and still hoping for November interview, so I can be with my mom at the interview. Hopefully while I can still board a plane, without going in labor on the plane, or in Bulgaria :) Hehehe

I agree entirely.

However, on the child front I am really lucky. My son, 15, who is six foot two and scheduled to be six foot seven will still kiss me goodbye in front of friends. Both kids think I am cool - well they say that although they do say I am old!! In my experience it is walking the line between being very approachable and non judgmental and also knowing when to back off. I am also quite strict, tough love. To me it is all about them making the right choices. I am so lucky with our son. As an elite swimmer, he is focussed and goal oriented. He will go to a party a couple of times a year but wants to leave by ten to get some sleep before training. Having said that he has lots of friends, is definitely one of the boys and loves that play station. He wants to swim at College and then go to Medical a School. He is very bright and on an academic scholarship at school. We will see what the future brings. He loves to hang with Dad as well fishing and skiing. Well enough rambling.

What a wonderful outlook from such a young age. God bless you and all your family.

Congratulations sweetie, am so happy for you. Finally your mom will be with you.

You just made it in time for the interview. NVC just started the schedule yesterday.

I pray and believe for a November interview. G-d knows we really need it: mom did not plan to spend winter in Bulgaria and has no wood for the stove, no food supplies for the winter months, etc...and winters are severe where I come from...So if I can get his 67 yr old woman in Texas before first snow I will be the happiest person on earth.
