Awww thank you for thinking of me and I'm happy you fell asleep you needed the rest Yes I had great hope in Sylvia I was so happy when she took our case I though the way she answered me was rude but then thought she was most likely tired. Yes I'm hoping Octavio steps up to the plate, I've been looking on the net to see if I can find who the higher ups are for NVC so I can complain to them but haven't had any luck at all. I'll keep hunting you never know.

I do believe as you that God has his plans and there is a reason we don't know about I know deep inside he will make this work and it's just a matter of time.

I understand sweetie, this is truly cruel and unusual punishment on every immigrant waiting to immigrate to the states. Hopeful this pain called nvc will be over for everyone soon.

I'll repost my question from the other thread in case anyone here is also fairly new to the NVC process like me and knows:

About the "new" cover sheet that NVC is sending, the one where you have a list with all the documents needed and you can mark enclosed/not available/etc. When did you receive it? Welcome email? Because I don't have it.

I got my welcome email (we have a lawyer so it's the email addressed to attorneys, I don't know if that's what makes the difference)... but it's not there. I have paid my AOS and IV fees and submitted the DS-260 so it's time to send the packages now, but I don't think I have that cover page with the document list. I have the individual barcode cover pages that you get when you pay AOS and IV.

Please stay on this thread if people think you are ranting on that thread.......and by the way I thought you were giving some useful info on interview schedules.

DS260 form is not for all the countries ?

DS-260 is for all countries. It will unlock when your IV change to PAID.

So stressed.

Sold our family home last year. Thought this process would only take a couple of months. How naive!!! Lease is up 7th November and landlord is happy to extend but if we don't vacate by middle of December then we have to pay through 31st Jan. Should get a CC by end October at latest. Do you think we will get a December interview. Just don't know what to do. Imagine if Visa is denied. The children and I will be homeless. I think I am just going to bite the bullet and pay through January. Just venting!!

I think you should get interview date for December. NVC have not started with November dates yet. Don't worry your visa will be granted and you will be together for Christmas.

Really its in justice we people on waiting for long time n some people gets their visa even in 6 months... M also waiting over 17 months when this process is completed ..

That was exactly my point. I asked the CO in Lagos about interview schedule and she told me NVC already have November and december slots for Lagos embassy which i decided to share on the thread and i was suprised when someone said the thread is not a rant thread. Yes am sticking to this thread.

I really dont know why NVC have not schedule interviews.

EOC, it seems what some consider to be ranting, may help others in a way, so don't pay attention to the complainers. I'm so glad this blog is a "safe place" to vent, because... G-d knows... amazing people thank you is such a small word for you. i got finally answer for what i am looking for. I am waiting for my visa almost 3 and half year. i hope after submitting this they will give me visa soon.

I am blush I keep my fingers cross as i pass all this time in stress and and crying a lot for my husband .yes we both love each other alot . Reading your some posts i am happy and hats off to your parents that they have such a wonderful daughter who love them .I am still in stress that i have to submitt these docs as soon as possible.

Poor sweet heart try to take a deep breath this stress will bring you to your husband so try your best to relax and look at every document one at a time. If you think of everything you have to get you will go crazy I know hahahaa. I cry for my husband also but soon my friend all our tears will turn to laughter and smiles you will see.

I agree I think you should error on the side of caution and presume you will be there until January it will cut down on your stress also and that is worth the money.

I second Ebu praying we all get the justice we deserve wish we had the e-mail the highest person at NVC and we could all e-mail them with our complaints this is just to much they should refund our money but they love money to much to be really fair.

Hahahaa so happy you like it here makes the place more like home. I can't stop thinking every time I see your post "God please let her mother come home to her quickly and take lot's of pictures of her smiling at the airport so we can live vicariously by her" hahahaa would love to see your mother in your arms smiling or will you go to bring her back? She might get confused at the horrible airports?

Hi all,

I am a new joiner & I would like to ask a couple of questions .

I am married to LPR ,& we filed for 130 F2A , 12-sept-2014 is our PD .

We are from Egypt, I got the receipt & when I checked USISD website , I entered the receipt number & I got initial review , I checked the processing time for California service center for spouse , it was 5 month .

Now I do not understand what's the use for the processing time if I have to wait for my PD to be current, is there any way to speed things up as my husband is Christian & I am not & in Egypt they do not allow nor recognize civil marriage, & it might be dangerous for me if anyone found out.That's why we got married in Cyprus.

Bases on the average number of previously processed cases , how long do you think it's gonna take for my PD to be current, I know you can never know for fact how long it's gonna take but just an estimate, a year , 6 month , 2 years.

Please let me know if you need to know anything else , thanks & I really appreciate your help guys.

You are so kind , my husband is Egyptian as well & he was a religious asylee in the US , he got his green card recently & then we traveled abroad to get married .

Then applied for I130 , he can not apply for citizenship for another 4 years, I know you think it was reckless , but we did not plan for it , we were best friends then we fell in love , we could not get married in Egypt & he traveled to the states in 2012 & I was able to c him in 2014 last September after he got his green card and we were able to travel .
