Good Day!

We went to LA to do Report of marriage. They said they are the one who will send it to the NSO but it will take more months of waiting for you to have a copy of your marriage certificate in NSO format. I would like to ask if there's any other way to make it a bit faster or someone can do it in my behalf in the Philippines in person? What are the requirements needed? Please need an advise for I really needed that marriage certificate from NSO for my PRC license to change in my maiden name to married name.

Don't know of any way to do it quicker, you have to complete this through the consulate representing your state. With us we had the stamped copy/receipt back in about 4 weeks.

We did ours in person in New York City, but they still told us it would take 2 weeks to send back the copy, and don't call them for status as it will slow them down.

It has already been 2 weeks, so I guess it is really longer. Not worried since we don't need the document for anything. Just wondering what the real time is.

You don't need a NSO copy of the ROM for anything in the US that I know of. We did ROM and got new passport with married name in about a month. Not familiar with PRC. Edited by DavenRoxy
