My husband had his medical yesterday in Abu Dhabi. I would consider this hospital my personal hell. For anyone reading this and going through Abu Dhabi, I wish you luck and advise you to wear your patient pants if you go to Nmc for your medical.

My husband had his there yesterday as well...he said it was a mad house! Will pick up results on Saturday!

You'll be fine, they'll only deny for medical reasons if you are class A which is a drug user or someone with one or more DUIs and continues to drink heavily. Even then, with the drink, they give you a 3-6 month period to prove you can be dry. You won't even be class B, needing further treatment stateside. You'll be no class like me, or classless as I like to think of it ;)

it could be they may put me in AP and get the vaccinations complete and submit them to consulate.

2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.

Stop getting yourself worried over nothing.. if the doctor ticked vaccine incomplete but requested for a waiver. then you are fine. This is what was ticked on my husband medical paper and he had his interview and was approved and got his passport with the visa. For now i think you should focus on your interview, getting ready for it and not about the medical.

Wow another 20 pages to catch up on, this thread is moving faster than before! Hubby went back to the doctor Wednesday to get the second tdap shot and the flu shot, but the doctor said they didn't have the flu shot in stock yet so he had to wait. I found a local clinic that will be giving them this Wednesday, have to call and make sure they provide documentation for it.

The doctor charged us for 2 letters, one for the vaccination record, another was a letter that he had been visiting a psychiatrist in 2010 and is now fine and not in need of further treatment. The letter was very well written, and I was so happy! Then I got to the bottom, and realized that next to his signature he hand dated it 10/14/2015... DOH! The 2014 date is printed at the top, but the handwritten date is a year ahead. He also misspelled my husband's name. He did his for both letters. I really hope this won't be a problem for the medical.

We fly out next Sunday for the medical and the interview so we are coming down to the wire for time crunch!

Also the whole naked thing, I read that the medical exam includes an examination of the external general is so this is what hubby is expecting, I'm surprised to read that some got by without even taking off their shirt! That would make my guy so happy but I'm not counting on it, will post more when the medical is done.

We have interview in Nov. in Mumbai.

My Spouse got a call from embassy. They asked following questions:

- did you completed 260

- did you get PCC

- did you complete medical

- did you get appointment for finger print.

When asked they did not provide name. They said they can not provide name.

Do they generally call? What should be the reason for this call?

LOL yes Austin I'm quite sure! I wasn't technically 100% naked, but there was a part where I had my top half totally exposed for the doctor to listen to my chest, then she had me pull my trousers and underpants down all the way so she could look at my you-know-what!

Are you sure YOU took the US immigration medical exam? :P

:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

Now, I'm not sure if I took the US immigration medical exam!:rofl::rofl:

Canadian folks! Did you have to undress in front of your doctor? :huh2:

Stop making me feel more molested than I already am :bonk:

For the London Embassy Medical my hubby had to drop his drawers! lol

Hmm. Perhaps the British have record STI levels or something :P

Having said that, I know some other countries perform much more invasive exams. I'm pretty sure there is a country that does the full gyno thing. I wouldn't have stood for that sort of nonsense.

You all are freaking me out with the whole drop drawers talk. My mom's medical is November 18th, she is 67. I hope she won't have to do that. Just ridiculous!!!!!!!

I'm not sure why some doctors examine your genital part.

They can't detect any STD (except for genital herpes) since you must have a blood test to find out if you have HIV or syphilis.

Maybe the doctor wants to make sure that your gender matches with the one in your passport? :huh2:

But... Why would anyone lie about their gender?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Do you have expedite for consulate stage? I saw in another thread VJ member called to NVC after CC about expedite. And the representative replied that the consulate will call to applicant about date of interview.

We have had the expedite, so I wait for the call, too.

For now i think you should focus on your interview, getting ready for it and not about the medical.

The doctor told me waiver is for K3 visas, not CR-1. I too think the doctor scared me because I did the wrong thing by getting the shots from my physician and an incorrect one at that too. It shouldn't be a big deal at the interview, but I panic easily.
