Interview scheduled! November 21st. The Friday before Thanksgiving week isn't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but I suppose I should be thankful we finally have an interview date.

Wife did medical today. I called NVC asked them if my file is in transit. The operator said yes today the 20th. How do I check dhl. Do I wait til tomorrow to check? It's not showing up. Am I doing something wrong ??

I put in the shippers reference # EXP 20 OCT 2014A

You can tell when you have a CC if you see "N/A" (changed from "PAID") at AOS on the CEAC site. Then, you call NVC to confirm it. You can get more info on http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/516597-the-nvc-october-moral-supportranting-thread/. :idea:

You'll receive a CC letter by email in a week after your actual CC date. :dancing:

Then, NVC schedules your interview date. NVC usually schedules interviews at the end of the month (or beginning of the month) and around the 10th. :thumbs:

You must have an interview letter (which you'll receive in 1-3 days after NVC assigning your interview date) in order to make an appointment for the medical exam in Canada. :star:

LOL...hubby had his medical today...no dropped drawers for him!! He did get 3 jabs though....

Having said that, I know some other countries perform much more invasive exams. I'm pretty sure there is a country that does the full gyno thing. I wouldn't have stood for that sort of nonsense.

Nothing more invasive than a DNA test for your child, which they do in Africa at least.

Yes, had to strip down to pants, not nice.... I just assumed it's because the U.S. doesn't trust the NHS, lol. Full body feel, a bit excessive tbh but makes sense Canada doesnt have to bring on the same continent and all.

I think it used to be a pre doma thing. Having read the london medical thread, one guy asked if them if they ever got any surprises and the Dr said yes, three this year, lol. So when she looked I said, look, no #######... It is very invasive though, not nice. Edited by Cathymac
