Oh my, poor baby what an idiot, obviously didn't know how to give a shot. :( I hope you feel better very soon sweet heart. :(t4582.gif

Oh no dearie, he is an experienced physician, just flustered that day because there were way too many patients. The flu shot he gave me next day on the other arm hardly gave any pain.

Not sure if this has been answered already because we've spent 3 days in a hotel waiting for a medical (the doctor called in sick, but we already traveled and booked into a hotel so decided to stay) so I haven't been able to read though the entire thread yet.

Once we did get to see the doctor it was very smooth. Took about 30 minutes, mostly just the doctor filling out forms. Then went to another room to get vaccinated, another 10 minutes of nurse filling out forms, and then we walked out with a sealed envelope.

Got a Hep B vaccine. The doctor said only one is required for interview purposes. The other two shots you can take with your local doctor, or not take them at all, it doesn't matter as far as immigration is concerned.

Four pictures are required as of October 1, even though it still says 1 on the embassy website. There are four forms the doctor fills out, and glues a picture to each one of them.

Flu vaccine, although listed as required, turns out it's only required for people in the high risk group, so children and elderly, so we didn't need to get it (this is for Warsaw).

Hi, I prepared ahead of my medical by going and having the shots from my physician. I didn't take the hep B shot because according to the immunization requirements by Dr. Seiden, hep B is for ages 18 and under. Did the panel physician in your country state hep B was necessary or is the beneficiary 18?

...And me too :( I honestly think I must not actually know how to do the DHL thing. The only time I got it to work was when I used someone else's example for dates etc. Anyone out there care to help us Canadians out and either tell us what we are doing wrong when we try to check or just go right ahead and try it to see if anything has been sent out for Montreal in the last day or two? Thank you in advance!

Great to hear from you my friend don't forget us on the Support thread. My case is a disaster, thanks to Austin I sent my parents marriage certificate to be translated so I'll only be delayed four days not an extra 60 since i was stupid enough to believe Betsy the sup at NVC. Wish I could sleep until this was all over. :D

But you know I'm so happy for you, what a blessing to know your on your way to freedom. :) for you and your wife. t4582.gift4582.gif

Why do they need your parents' marriage certificate?

I guess what Im mainly worried about is being able to do both things the same day, the medical examination and the biometrics ( fingerprints) Does anyone kow how I can get ahold of the office that does the biometrics? So I can verify whether I need an appointment or not and the hours they are available to do the fingerprints

I could schedule the biometrics at the same site where I had to arrange for my passport pickup after interview, ustraveldocs.com. It was a very efficient tool, first I selected where I wanted my biometrics (city), then I was asked to schedule myself at the available dates and times. It even displayed how many slots were available for a particular time, in case there were many applicants wanting to have their biometrics together. I could reschedule twice too. In the end, I took a confirmation of the appointment. I was so impressed with the site I wished scheduling any appointment was that easy.

You have to be vigilant and on top of things at every step in the accursed process. I had to stop the nurse at the very last moment as she was attempting to give my 4 kids MMR shots when they didn't need it. The MMR shot was supposed to be just for me and my wife.

Timeline

Just when I thought everything was going on, BOOM, back on the wait again, NVC reps are really confusing, when I called about my CC, they said: "Yeah, your case is in line for an interview", I was expecting a november interview, as the days passed and everybody got the interview date, I called and they said: "Your case is in hold, because your petitioner has another family case that needs to catch up in order to schedule an interview", and I was WHAAT!? (I didn't knew about this) but, how long?, then the rep said: "Don't worry only 60 days from sept 18th, then you go on your own".

Here we go again, back on the bench. :clock:

Someone has experienced a case like this?

“You have to die a few times before you can really live.”
